This is the first offseason in a long time where we don’t have to worry about starting an incompetent quarterback. I’m so relieved!

The media oddly and consistently overlooks the fact that Trask didn’t have benefit of a solid running game largely because he’s a poor runner in an offense that relies heavily on the quarterback’s legs.

He’s a terrific story, a kid who never complained and worked his rear end off to overcome the odds, but he remains for Florida what he is, a square peg in a round hole. That’s going to continue to dog us.

Boy, Kyle has made his high school coach proud. That guy has put 2 QBs in that Top 10.
Wonder if Jitoboh can play TE? 6'11", 288 lbs? White won't do anything with him.

The range of opinions on Trask are so wide. Some have him as the 66th ranked qb, others say he’s tops in SEC.

He will. LSU, Georgia, and Bama all lost their signal callers.

I think he will too (or he should), but you know how these pundits are. They'll put Mond, Costello, Wilson or some other QB ahead of him - for whatever reason. Honestly, he should be 1st or 2nd team pre-season.

Two different types of lists, 66th quarterback situation in 2019 (with a lot of quarterbacks going to the NFL) and top 10 quarterback returning in 2020. The first is an opinion of the combination of Fransk/Trask against 2019 talent, the second is a list of guys who are returning as the number one guy.

Fair but the same article also says florida fans will be clamoring for EJ next season. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

I think they look at the system, and the potential of EJ in that system. Which I do think if we have a line, it could be incredible dynamic with EJ. But Trask is the returning starter, unless something happens in Spring/Fall drills.

Article was pretty clear that they felt like Trask performed poorly all season and that was why EJ would be a fan favorite in 2020.
