Great game. We deserved the W.
I was just SO sad to see that sellout crowd of those classy Miami fans sit through 11 innings of chilly, damp, windy weather only to go home with 1 run and a big L. Ya' hate to see it.

Nick Pogue? Do we not have a closer?
Many college baseball teams don't have a so called closer. They just mix and match as the games go along. That has often been the case with Sully when you don;t have an obvious shut down guy, which we don;t have. Even the year when Byrne was spectacular, he kind of fell into that role and turned out to be outstanding for the most part. I believe that as of now Scott is kind of that guy and Sully brought him in a tie game hoping he could hold the tie and finish if we just could have scored before extra innings. But in college ball during weekend series of magnitude, you might see "closers" early in the game to stem tides. You do whatever you have to to win those types of games. The arms are plentiful, but often times good arms are not.
