Of the 83 Heisman winners eligible for drafting, 56 have been selected in the first round. Twenty-two of them were taken with the first overall pick and 39 within the first five selections. Just four Heisman winners ended up not being drafted (two of them had military obligations, one went to the NBA and one had multiple knee injuries that affected his draft stock).

It was well known the NFL gave him the snub. No NFL team is spending a pick on a 6ft QB with below average arm strength. At best, he would have been a 4th round pick. More likely, he would have gone in rounds 5-7. He made the right call. He played 12 years in the NBA. He wouldn't have last but 2-3 at most as a backup in the NFL. Oh, and fukk the clowns.
