As many of you already know we are having a baby.

6-7 years ago, my wife got pregnant, only to have a miscarriage a few months in. It was rough on her.
We kept trying and trying after that only to find out she has severe endometriosis, which was probably a big factor in not having been able to get pregnant in that time period.
It took months to decide, but eventually we decided that a baby wasn't in the cards for us and that a full hysterectomy was the solution to ease the problems endometriosis causes. It was a tough decision for her.
That surgery was set to take place in late August of last year.

Well we never got there, because a month before the surgery we found out that she was in fact pregnant.
We were completely shocked!!!

We were slow to tell people she was pregnant, because you just never know, especially with the previous miscarriage.

Yesterday it all came to fruition.

Carly was born 6 lbs 8 oz.

Congratulations sir (& to Mrs Urg)! She is beautiful and by the sounds of it a true miracle. Get ready for a lot of sleep deprivation!

Congrats, brother. Your little one is beautiful. :) I can relate to your story a bit, as my wife miscarried before we had our son. It was rough. We didn’t think it was gonna happen for us either, but we were blessed with the little guy a few months after. I’m about 3 months into parenthood and literally writing this after I just put the little dude down. As sleep deprived as we are, there are very few things in life more fulfilling than being parents. Best wishes to you and your family, URG!
