Holy Schit, you’re white? Post a pic of the feeding. I need to make sure the latching is proper.

Congratulations.

Congratulations brother! Cherish each and everyday you have as a father. There is no better feeling in this world like the love a child brings.

It's tough.

It's worth it.

You'll be great parents.

Take lots of pictures.

Congratulations Urg! That is one beautiful baby girl! I join all the rest in being super happy for you and your wife. Difficulties getting pregnant and miscarriages can be really, really difficult - we've experienced some of these and had family and very close friends experience others.

Help Mrs. Urg as much as you can and hold that little girl. They grow up so fast!

Congratulations! Being a parent is the toughest job you'll ever have...but it's the best job you'll ever have. All the sleepless nights, stress, worrying, and demands of being a parent are worth it.

Congratulations! Enjoy it....I know I did. I miss those days and now patiently waiting for grandkids. My 3 are all 25 and up so hopefully soon.

Daughters are special. I’m really close to mine.

As many of you already know we are having a baby.

6-7 years ago, my wife got pregnant, only to have a miscarriage a few months in. It was rough on her.
We kept trying and trying after that only to find out she has severe endometriosis, which was probably a big factor in not having been able to get pregnant in that time period.
It took months to decide, but eventually we decided that a baby wasn't in the cards for us and that a full hysterectomy was the solution to ease the problems endometriosis causes. It was a tough decision for her.
That surgery was set to take place in late August of last year.

Well we never got there, because a month before the surgery we found out that she was in fact pregnant.
We were completely shocked!!!

We were slow to tell people she was pregnant, because you just never know, especially with the previous miscarriage.

Yesterday it all came to fruition.

Carly was born 6 lbs 8 oz.

Wow - beautiful girl you got there Urg.
Very happy for you.
Hopefully you have family in the area - they can be lifesavers sometimes. I know my mother in law sure was.
Guess we won’t be seeing you much around here for a couple of years. ;)

Congratulations! My wife and I also had problems getting pregnant, which included miscarriages. I understand how tough that can be. But I'm also happy to share that we had our second son last week, so I'm right there with you with the new bundle of joy and lack of sleep. :highfive:
