Gators in the 2020 NFL Draft

Figured it would be fun to take our orange and blue glasses off and make our guesses where these guys will get drafted. Since it's hard to determine ever changing draft boards and team needs it always feels that the guy you thought was a sure (insert round) pick slides down the board. Outside of consensus first round guys I always use the rule of two. Meaning if you think the guys is a second rounder, don't be surprised if he drops to the 4th.

Make your predictions

Van Jefferson - 3rd or 4th
Cleveland - 5th-7th
Swain - 5th -7th (will be a steal)
Hammond - 6th-UDFA
Reece - 5th-7th
Perine - 4th-6th (will be a steal)
Shuler - 7th-UDFA
Henderson - 1st (not shocked if he falls to second)
Grenard - 3rd or 4th
Zuniga - 4rd-6th
Townsend - UDFA
Buchanan - UDFA
Ancrum - UDFA
Taylor - 6th-UDFA

If they aren't on here, I see them a UDFA.

Jefferson - 3rd to 4th. He has taken full advantage of the senior bowl and combine. He is the complete opposite of Polite.

Cleveland - 5th to 7th. He is stiff in the hips, lacking explosiveness. It shows on tape and in his workouts.

Swain - 5th to 7th. I agree with others, could be a steal if drafted by the right team.

Perine - 2nd to 5th depending on 40 time.

CJ - His physical tools should keep him in the first. Blow the 40 time and he falls to the second.

Greenard - 2nd to 4th. He is getting 2nd round push right now. I still think 3rd to 4th.

Jon Greenard had a huge combine. He made himself some money and pushed himself into the 2nd round.

Greenard just strikes me as a very determined young man that really appreciates the position he has been put in. He will do great things barring an injury. That's how your retire moms...

I think Greenard and Hammond go higher than people think.

Yes I did. He is obviously getting drafted. He could go anywhere from end of the 1st to the 5th because of his injury history. He had a first round grade after the Miami game. All it takes is one team to take a chance. He has added 20 pounds while still performing well at the combine.

I really hope Hammond, like Swain, makes a roster. I worry at the fact he wasn’t invited to the combine that scouts don’t view him well.

I thought he was the most reliable receiver on the team. Even more so than Jefferson.

Im not sure he has good enough hands to play wide receiver in the NFL.

I agree at how reliable he was. Swain I felt was extremely reliable as well. I felt when we needed a crucial play it went to one of them. It's just not being invited that had me nervous. That and there are around a couple hundred WR's entering this draft and only so many open slots for them. Draft day may change though as boards start moving around as guys are coming off, but two teams may view two guys completely different once you get to that area of the board and you have to hope the team that liked you still has the need.

All of the nfl draft guys are saying CJ has ensured himself a first round pick. He killed the combine and not just in the 40.

His size is fine since Zuniga is being viewed as an LB by many. But, even if he stays at DE, there are plenty of elite 4-3 ends in the 250-265 range. His height isn’t an issue either. Unless that was sarcasm. In that case, my meter is broken. It is my birthday and I’m posting while buzzed.
