You are what you continually do and doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results is insanity. I could go on...

As others said, I appreciate Lewis accepting blame on behalf of the players. Too bad this is only the latest of multiple collapses and under performances. This is not characteristic of a highly successful program. Perhaps if within the metric used to determine the SEC all-sports trophy this teams’ (under)performance were to keep us from winning the cup there might be some pressure applied or a change...:scratchchin:

White-Trash showing his elite coaching skills once again. I never thought I'd see a coach worse than Pat Kennedy or Leonard Hamilton. Who knows, maybe after 15 years Whitey will figure things out like Hamilton has. We just have to be patient gator fans.

Glad you mentioned Leonard Hamilton since he should be paying Whits’s salary
Hamilton was in the early stages of being fired by FSU because of the massive gap between UF and them and then all of his prayers were answered.
Billy went to the NBA and UF hired a sports insider versus a proven winner.

Five years have passed and FSU has a Top Ten team and Hamilton will be getting a raise and an extension soon

There is no end in sight for Hamilton because in spite of White’s destruction of the program we are still dealing with sycophants in total denial that continue to tell us that we don’t understand what we see and that we are totally unrealistic.

I have followed the litany of excuses and misguided comparisons from the compliant media morons around the program as well as the handful of delusional fans that still can’t see the obvious and I am left with nothing but the realization that nothing will change

I have said many times that my only saving grace is that I let my seats that I had for 36 years go after a couple of years of CMW but it still kills me to watch the slow destruction underway

Does anyone have the ear of any of the real boosters like Donald Dizney?
I ask because Scottie will never make the move on his own so he must be motivated.

Frustrating season no doubt that is almost over. We are 7-4 in our last 11 games. Teams below us on the bubble and ranked lower in the NET than us: Last 4 byes: USC is 6-5 last 11 games. ASU 8-3. Marquette 4-7. UCLA 9-3 last 12 but had to get a 7 game winning streak just to get onto the bubble. Last 4 in currently: Stanford 5-6. IU 4-8. Texas 6-5. NCSt 5-7. First 4 out: Richmond 9-3. Xavier 6-6. Cincy 9-3. Wichita St - 7-7. Only 1 team, Marquette, is ranked above us in the NET rankings while everyone else on the bubble is below us. The selection committee looks at those rankings and also your overall body of work. The last 12 games our so really determines your seeding up or down. Looks like we will get in as a 9 or 10 seed even if we lose in the first round of the SECT. Winning that first game will firmly get us in but nothing is guaranteed with this team. Obviously a lost season and what could have been with better play and coaching. As a fan, the most frustrating season since Billy D's final season at UF and losing record at 16-17, something I didn't think I would see under his program with all the success he had at UF and with that star studded roster he had that year. You just never know with college basketball until you actually see the team play. I remember back in 05-06 our guys were ranked as low as 70th in some magazines and I was like no way we are that bad and we started off hot with a 17-0 record on our way to winning the NC.

@Double Gator Dad - its certainly time for a change, I guess we will see what player movement comes in the offseason and what the roster is left looking like. I think a guy like Anthony Grant or Gregg Marshall would have great success at UF and those should be our top 2 targets.

SI's Graham Marsh summed it up well in his recent article,

White's inability to call a timeout during a funk, draw up something creative and easy to execute is killing Florida when it goes cold. If the jump shots stop falling, there's no offense. It never seems that he makes the right decision, if he makes a decision at all, to get his squad out of a funk.

I have followed the litany of excuses
Thats all we have in ghetto ball and football, excuses and wait til next year.

We hired an AD who has never been anywhere near a championship. You are right to conclude nothing is changing anytime soon.

From Mike White’s post game presser,

For the thousandth time, toughness has been an issue for 3 years now. Players not buying in has also been an issue for 3 years. LOOK IN THE MIRROR DUMBAZZ!

How many will transfer out before next year if he stays? I'd guess at least half of those who don't give the NBA a shot.

Maybe a better question is, “who wants to sit out next year, or play Div II ball?”, because that’s the result if a player transfers.

Obviously Blackshear and Sutherland, our Seniors, are finished after this year.

Of the three juniors, Bassett, Appleby, and Duruji, I could see Appleby transferring for a Div II school to get more playing time his senior year. Maybe Bassett transfers too, though he’s getting PT now and will likely see more next year with Blackshear gone. Duruji is sitting out this year after transferring from La Tech, so he’s not going anywhere.

The three sophomores, Nembhard, Johnson, and Locke are all getting plenty of PT. It would make no sense for any of them to transfer, though I could see Johnson, and maybe Nembhard, testing the NBA waters.

Of the six freshmen, Mann, Glover, Lewis, and Jitoboh are getting a good amount of playing time. If Nembhard stays, maybe one of the either Mann or Glover transfer, but it doesn’t seem likely. Klesky is probably the most likely to transfer since he’s seen no playing time (is he injured?) this season. Scottie is a one-and-done possibility, so NBA maybe, but very unlikely to transfer. That leaves Omar Payne as a possible transfer, but he knows he’s got a lot of developing to do and could see a lot more playingtime once Blackshear is gone

So the short version is that it is unlikely that any of the non-scrub players will transfer unless White encourages them to leave. Regardless of how much any of us dislike White, the impact on a player transferring is a strong deterrent to leaving the team whose coach isn’t any different than the coach they signed up with a year or two ago.

White very likely will not survive after next season. However, I highly, highly doubt he will be fired after this season. He’s here for one more season.

Sadly you are probably correct. Based on our past leaders and current leaders, they should all know that HOPE is not a strategy and being REACTIVE is not a sign of leadership!

I think his seat is hotter then many think, you know the MSU AD wants to fire the ole miss head coach and get his own guy.

I do believe there could be some small chance MW would leave. I see no chance he will be fired before the end of next season.
