He signed his LOI for Georgia, but they did not submit to the NCAA and informed Evans he was not accepted.
By Ncaa rule, he cannot sign a second LOI. However he can enroll in another school if accepted. Apparently did something to hurt dwags feelings....
I know that's what the dwag message boards are saying.

and I know that others opined that called them fvkking liars for signing a third back.

Who knows. Maybe we will hear more.

right now we've kind of got nothing to lose. it's not like we signed anyone or we would be missing a better back (meaning good back and lower risk) if we took him.

I'm just wondering if he's the type that's going to sit around for three years. Mullins is not in the habit of playing kids until they're in their third year.

Here is what I could find -

He violated a cell phone usage team rule by refusing to give up...

Whoever wrote that repeats 4 times he was sent home for refusing to give up his cell phone. Then mentions 2 other incidents. I had to reread it to see if he was repeatedly not giving up his phone or the writer was repeating himself.

Whoever wrote that needs to be put in a corner to think about what they've done.

I think Evans is a take... worth the gamble. It’s possible he’s bipolar or has some undiagnosed mental illness. It is also possible his high school coach is a mini-Hitler douchebag control freak. Sometimes personalities just clash.

I once went off on the dumbest boss I’ve ever had for repeatedly not addressing an issue and he labeled me insane. Fortunately, I had 20+ years experience with the company. If I was new though, I would have had to leave the company. Instead, he gone.

No one in the media knows, and neither do we. Evans may be the next Percy (manageable), or Torrey Davis (always in the doghouse), or Avery Atkins (incurable and tragic). Urban frequently took these kinds of risks thinking he could turn around young men. I’m good with Dan taking this particular flier. I cannot abide women beaters though. Disgusting pigs like that need no part of Gator Nation.

Statistically speaking, it is much more likely he comes from a broken home like Adarius Lemons. Such things can wreak havoc on a young person. Hopefully, we find out. The kid is the best back in the country and getting away from all that can be a good thing.

Id like to know how many of our athletes.... or regular students.... come from broken homes. I think it is probably most these days.

Wasn’t Adarius in foster care? Maybe not officially? The vast majority of kids formally in that situation aren’t merely from broken homes, they’ve suffered abuse so serious that the state had to remove their parent(s) from their lives. Such kids that are permanently adopted and treated with counseling well before age 15 become emotionally and behaviorally normalized. If not, they have very high rates of suicide, convicted felony, drug abuse, high school dropout etc. So, adoption is a highly effective means to break the vicious cycle.

Last Chance U gives you a window into how f'ed up these kids truly are. It's amazing that any of them can break through.

It does not matter where he commits. It is only official when he is enrolled, on campus, and in uniform. Even then, I don't expect the kid to make it unless he changes.
It would be interesting to hear this kids real story. He was an EE, right? He must have some smarts, so what's the real issue?
