We should send them our list of why recruiting doesnt matter bc of player development and Savage and stuff.

Despite some still holding to "stars don't matter", we know they do. At the very least, a team needs stars where it counts like at QB or on the lines of scrimmage. The clowns blue chip numbers are dropping with each class. And Norvell isn't improving the recruiting on the lines of scrimmage much at all. In truth, I think he is worse if that is even possible. His only saving grace is that schedule.

Something else to add regarding fsu's recruiting, I notice they are already in flip mode with some elite prospects. Imagine being this far out from signing day, and trying to rely on flipping players because you can't get the uncommitted elites to even look at you. As far as the 2021 class is concerned, it looks like Mullen isn't doing that any more which shows improvement.

Well, he’s got one 5* committed which is indeed an improvement this far out. And the QB seems legit. But we need some scary good skill guys on offense.

One under-noted aspect of LSU was their stable of WRs. Burrow had crazy good targets to hit, along with ample time to find them.

(And yes Donk, we know you don’t think elite WRs or RBs want to play in an offense where job #1 is to block for the QB.)

Notice the I-formation:

I know this is from ’95 game, but still worth mentioning...

I remember the posturing/campaigning leading up to the Heisman vote in ‘96. An asu OL commented that Plummer should win it and Danny puts up big numbers because he throws a 5 yd slant and the WR does the rest. Apparently, he saw 1-2 highlights (probably Quez Green highlights) on bspn and thought that was all Danny had. He didn’t see what Gator fans witnessed for 4 years - Danny Boy making beautiful and clutch passes that make it look easy.

Those days were truly special.

That is absurd. Danny rarely threw 5 yards or less. SOS didnt like wasting time w that crap. Of course, he almost never threw long either. Danny mostly threw 11-17 yards. And that is all that is ever needed.

At that point you're basically one-on-one with a safety, and there's a reason most safeties are playing safety instead of corner.

Dude was schlepping for his qb. Understandable, but he was clearly misinformed or flat out lying about how our offense operated at the time.
