This is interesting:

SEC to allow virtual meetings, instruction for sports next week

SEC to allow virtual meetings, instruction for sports next week

Football programs across the SEC will be allowed to offer football instruction via remote tools beginning Monday, industry sources tell 247Sports.

A memo was sent Friday to athletic departments outlining the new guidelines.

The SEC had disallowed football programs to offer virtual instruction, position meetings and other football-related activities via online-only software such as FaceTime or Zoom during the coronavirus pandemic. The guidelines were enacted March 13 to allow no competitive advantages during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, when students were sent home from campuses across the SEC over the last two weeks.

The lifting of the instructional limitations will allow coaches and players to conduct meetings similar to a normal spring-practice situation, though all must be done virtually. This includes film review and instruction. Programs will be limited to two hours per week of mandatory activity.

The new guidelines will go into effect as most SEC campuses’ spring breaks come to an end. Campuses across the SEC have closed, but classes have moved to online-only instruction. The SEC asked its athletic departments to focus on the health of its students as they left campus and returned to their respective homes across the country.

The SEC allowed its athletic programs to share strength-and-conditioning workouts digitally with its players during the first two weeks of the pandemic, but virtual observation of the workouts is not allowed. That will continue. Many of the SEC’s programs instructed athletes to conduct bodyweight exercises such as lunges, burpees and squats. Many players do not have access to gyms and workout facilities across the country as schools and privately-owned fitness centers close amid the spread of the virus.

We can put up the SECMike (whoever that is) preseason championship on the stadium wall.

Butters would certainly do it.
