I met him in '87 as part of a car dealership promotion in Trailerhassee to see who got to drive a new Lincoln for a month. They gathered several media, radio and TV guys to "kick against" him. We each had three chances to kick a 35 yard field goal, as did he. He was a great guy, very personable and like a big teddy bear.
That guy could kick the sh!t out of a ball...even though he purposely missed all three of his attempts.
