It may be reflective of the program, meaning in the sports threads....it's hard to tell with no damn sports for month on end. There are times when it gets tiresome to hear to sht-heads insisting on pushing their point at a rate of 10 posts per page. It could reflect when threads go on an extreme tangent for days...but that's kinda becoming part of the charm of the site.

I more think it has to do with PF where there are more sht-heads, that are MORE insistent on pushing their point and/or picking-continuing a fight, which I doubt anyone else gives a crap about. Espectially after they say the same damn thing for the umpteenth time, and nobody with authority either cleans it up, gives them a vacation, or at a minimum tells them to take to PM and stop boring the rest of us with their dcksizing. Actually, make it bra-sizing because it's typically a couple of giant boobs.

I've given you sht over the years for this half assed effort that always lacks follow thru. With that, I'll just say I've settled into it for what it is and I don't see a need to change anything. Other than, perhaps, a funny button.

The PF is not Gatorchatter.....most of our traffic never even goes in there.

I've never promised to change anything, but I am interested in people's thoughts. Just because the lamebrain ideas you've come up with over the years aren't implemented doesn't mean I am clueless and out of touch.

Stuff like this scares the shiit out of noobs and discourages honest discussion and I just don’t understand why you do it since it doesn’t appeal to your prurient interests and the regulars know you ain’t banning nobody. Make the most unused little thingy at bottom right “funny” should be easy enough to placate Seabee. Otherwise the board is perfect if you would keep the damn cache cleared! Sometimes the archive button won’t work for hours. I don’t know why. I even bought a new iPad just for this slugassed site.

Banning Larry LEGO is the best move you’ve ever made to improve the site.

Ox there's nothing wrong with this site or how its run. The only way you could improve it is to let DocZaius post the TnA he wants to post in the saloon. Getting rid of rev was the best thing you could have done. There are a few more that need to go...but seeing as how you are a benevolent and merciful dictator I can't fault you for your patience.

Seeing how this is the south, i can't take anybody serious who wants to compare us to the wild west. Anybody that was on the old board, and this board that long has learned to take some posters with a grain of salt. We already know their MO, their viewpoints and other idiosynchronicity. If you have that thin a skin, maybe a message board isn't for you.

As for the board, This place is fantastic,, i wouldn't change a thing ( i have a lazy streak like you..) Have an auction with people using their oxbucks to be a mod for a day/week. give others the cheap thrill of booting someone. And people that need oxbucks that really want to win, they can buy some oxbuck with real money.. what's an oxbuck worth, say a Zimbabwe dollar, so one US dollar gets you 1000 oxbucks,, you set the exchange rate. Give props with oxbucks, Thread of the month = x oxbucks to the OP, nah, oxbucks are useless,, have the Thread of the Month OP get entered for a raffle. Every 3 months have newbies register to win a year long membership for blue letters :) only those registering in that quarter are eligible. when you send them the email congratulating them on joining, remind them to sign up for that raffle.

icon in a thread actually work,, if a poster gets 10 bans in a 24 hour period , he's booted for 24 hours :lol:

that will clean up some of the back and forth that clutters up some threads. Other people in the thread can get rid of the idiot for a day :)

Goon may diddle small boys but he is right that the board is just about perfect. (If it had a funny button it would be perfect.) I've resigned myself to the fact that partially clothed girls are relegated to the saloon though I don't understand why partially clothed men are allowed every where else.
But speaking of the important things. We can pretty much say anything we want - at least a helluva a lot more than anywhere else I've seen. Ox is an omnipresent admin which, in his case, is actually a good thing. He's not heavy handed with the ban hammer despite what some may say. Gives vacations occasionally that are prolly needed. I can't bytch about how Ox runs the board.
Now if only urg could get his modship back... :dance:

There's two things at play here. For the long time members it can't get any better than it is now but lets be honest Law is single handedly keeping your board from growing.
New people don't know or care that law is a harmless blowhard and think he's bad for the program and don't care to be a part of it.
He could bring it down a notch but has no reason to.
