At this point, it’s not even certain this documentary will go through. Apparently, ESPN has reached out to make it happen, but have not heard back from Lance on his accepting it or not. Basically, the ball is in his court.

Although not a rider I became hooked on the tour during Lemonds years of winning, just a national pride thing.
I was a huge Lance fan but he did a lot of dirty things to silence his critics.
I'll probably watch if for nothing else just to find out what you do with all the stuffed lions they give you after a stage win.
Same... I'm a huge fan of Hinault and LeMond and it was huge when I was stationed in Germany from '85-'89.

There was a story about them on I think ESPN the other night

 Mannnnn I KNEW you'd do that to me, and I am NOT complaining!!!

Remember, it was 1985. I was a married E-1 living on the German economy... at that time, AFN was ONE channel and we couldn't even get that signal living 20 clicks from post, so, we had like 5 German channels, and ya watched what you could and LeMond was American, so.... 'MURIC!!!!

I liked Hinault as well but not so much Laurent Fignon who lost the tour to Lemond in a time trial on the final day. I was hooked then and they haven't finished with a time trial into Paris since. I believe Hinault is the one who stayed on Lance until he confessed.

I know I was defending Lance at the time. Mainly because the cheese eating surrender monkeys were all on his sh*t every race, and I hate them just a tad more than Armstrong.
I was so wrong... but I don't really give a sh*t one way or another now anyway.

And about this thread...

This should be combined w the curling thread and sent to the dungeon.
