There is no doubt that Trask got an opportunity he wasn't going to get from any other P5 school. He had no real game tape. He has done most with the opportunity, and you can't take that away from the kid. But to believe he was getting creditable offers from Alabama and those tier of teams is just dumb.

The kid got an offer and made the most of that offer. The kid deserve all the credit in the world for that. He is a great representation of the school, hard work, and dedication.

It’s one reach Mac took that worked out shockingly well. Trask is a great story. To do what he did with no running game is astounding.

I’m trying to think - has there been such an unlikely success story in Gator football since Doering?

FIFY

Honestly Jesse Palmer's the better comparison. He played "club" football in Canadia. not exactly a backup and considered one of the best in Canada but still not real football.

If Doug Johnson had focused on football only and not been mentally screwed up by baseball $$$, things would have gone much better. SOS would have gotten another SEC or 2.

His highlight tape literally has players wearing his own uniform.

If that triggers you, so be it.

:jerkstore:

What the hell are you talking about? His film is game tape against other varsity teams. Did you just choose to ignore the stats and fact that he played pre determined series in games?

Dude, admit it. You got this whole thing dead wrong from day one. You have called the guy trash for years even before he ever played a snap for us. And now chances are he’ll get drafted. A QB guru you are not.

Whew..I would have been so disappointed if Donk and Itraz hadn't shown up in this thread to hold hands and Trask/Mullen bash instead of giving credit and being happy UF got some good off season press.

With the exception of Franks' last spring game, I have always thought Trask was the best QB on the field for the spring games. Cannot believe it took two coaching staffs and, Franks getting hurt for him to start.

I don't know how anyone can complain about qb coach. Our qb staff made franks functional, sometimes. And anytime EJ or Trask has played, they're well prepared.

It is junior high football, usually with one presnap read and one postsnap.

Ox says I have to post 10X this month. So, here is number 9.

All I know is that he brought much need excitement back to the games. I love that he is the underdog, not respected, and not known. I also like that he is not cocky in the slightest way. I hope the season is played and I hope he has another miracle season. And, I really hope that he beats the Sh*t out of GA!

Haven’t been here in a while. Good to see some things never change and the juvenile antics will always be here. Sad- GC seems like a missed opportunity.
