Your offseason troll game is weak. Do better.

Which stuff did I make up? When have I pretended we moved to advanced passing concepts? We had a long, productive discussion on the differences between UF and Clemson passing schemes and why theirs is more productive.

The changes, which you alluded to before, were exploiting different parts of the fields with Trask’s read progression, etc. Throwing places Franks could or would not. Reducing the number of QB keepers as the season went on. Etc.

Just so we’re clear: your position is that we adjusted some just not as much as you would’ve liked. Which sounds like we made an adjustment to Trask’s talents but not some sweeping install. Which I agree with and have been pretty consistent in stating, I think.

Maybe we’re talking past each other. I believe he adjusted the playcalling - not scheme - to Trask. Under center is a good example. We used it more as the season wore on because no one would bite on a possibly hobbled Trask running the ball. I’m sure they practiced it and it was in the playbook before the season but we didn’t use it with Franks. That’s adjusting to a player. Maybe we should have done it more. We also used the qb sneak less often as the season went on. Again, adjustment. Maybe it was a HS level adjustment to playcalling. I’m not debating that - don’t know the details - but he adjusted. The offense certainly operated differently with Trask in there and I have a hard time believing it was strictly because of player performance. Could be wrong - won’t be losing any sleep over it.

 I always enjoy this. Watching old traz find new ways to complain about the coaching staff.

So it is your opinion that the “above average playcaller” (your words) did not make more than minor adjustments to a guy with a very different skill set? You sticking with the “Mullen just did not know what he had in Trask!” argument?

Seabee reminds of Franks getting frustrated asking "you didnt see progress?"

lol... I mean losing 41-14 is better than losimg 41-7, right?

Uh huh. Super weird you would use “QB powers on 4th and 1” considering “QB Power” would have been more accurate. Of the three 4th downs we attempted to convert on offense, only one was by Trask and it was successful. The other two were by RBs. Townsends ill fated fake was the only fail that day. Seems like a good mix to me, not some stubborn adherence to the same playcalling.

We threw the ball 48 times compared to 25 rushing attempts against FSU, which is way outside his norm (more rush than pass - just as law). Oddly enough, every game through Towson we rushed more than passed. Every game after, the opposite was true. But you are right, I am sure that was the plan all along.

I’m not missing the point. You’re implying that a play we used 1 time in a game with multiple opportunities to run it (and we had in early games) shows we never changed. It’s just not true.

And don’t be a smart ass. I just rewatched libgators condensed game play and those “RPOs” were window dressing at best. It’s what drives Law crazy - there was never any intent to run out of that look as Trask barely even sells it. On the first drive, we only showed RPO three times and the only one that Trask or Perine even pretended like it was a rush was on the TD pass. You can spin it all you want (HS adjustment, etc) or try to change what stats show but only one of us is making sh!t up here and its not me.

I can't wait for the yearly "WE JUST FIGURED OUT TONEY IS A PLAYMAKER AND WE ARE GOING TO USE HIM THIS SEASON FOR SURE" articles by Drooley.

I just looked at the box score again. What a fcvking disaster of a game! A safety, a blocked punt returned for a TD, 4 effing turnovers! A complete and utter bed shiating. Embarrassing all around!

Love how Swonkster and Traz like each others posts in every thread. You just know they are so comfortable in public together holding hands and walking with a hand in each others back pocket. So cute together. Love these 2 crazy kids. SwonkTraz for life!
