I would imagine that he is a little groggy and weak feeling. Probably even dehydrated and confused and is thinking that "fighting for his life" and "getting better" is more important than "updating us doting members".

Well, SNAP TO moe-reen and give us an update!

Starting to get a little more concerned about M1. Hope you're getting better, bud.

Thank you all for your concern and kind words. Today is day 15. Although I still feel very sick today is first time I feel any improvement at all.

This has been the worst experience of my life. Absolutely nothing like like the flu. I honestly believed there was a good chance I was going to die. Literally dug out the life insurance policies.

Symptoms would rotate. Chills that would have me shaking violently for hours. My wife kept running blankets through the dryer to keep me warm.

Fevers that went to 102-104.

Then the worst cough imaginable. My insides were raw.

All of above kept me awake days on end. Twice went 3-4 days without a bite of food.

Today, miraculously, I woke up feeling sick. Just sick. Like a flu. But the only real symptom today is a piercing headache.

Hopefully this is the beginning of the recovery.

Keep the faith, mister.

As for the headache, you are probably dehydrated as hell, even if you THINK you've been taking in gallons of fluids.

@Marine1 , sounds like @Detroitgator , excuse me Dr. Detroitgator, is right; I suspect you are very dehydrated. Sounds like you could use some Gatorade!
Seriously, I hope this is beginning of your full recovery. And kudos to Mrs M1 for the blanket in the dryer thing. What good gal!

I fought going into the hospital because I thought it was a death sentence. I didn’t think I would come home.
Its not and you shouldnt so long as you don't live in the New York City metro area.

At the VA, they arent going to lock you away in a room away from your family and let you live or die.

there a lot of people dying though because they're afraid to get medical help. Things like dehydration and secondary respiratory infections CAN be treated, usually easily. Too many are afraid of the hospital in the horrors that are going on there at some and waiting until they are in or near respiratory failure before they go to the hospital. Then it is often too late.
