From reading Duke sites, Coach K is recruiting him to be their starter. I get the feeling Nembhard is going to get away from Whitey and become really good. And, we’ll have yet more evidence that Whitey is one of the worst Xs and Os coaches in basketball.

Hopefully with Gonzaga, so I can still like him lol. Duke would suck

Penny wants him too. Once again, I can’t help but think Nembhard will leave UF and play much, much better. Fvkk Mike White!!!

That’s a great list of suitors. It’s stuff like this that should point to a coaching issue, not an incorrect talent evaluation.

Nembhard seems like a hard worker who will continue to improve, but he is so mechanistic it is painful to watch. It’s like he read a few recipe books about basketball and never improvises the ingredients - even when one of the main ones is missing.

A point guard should have a mastery of the known and unknown. A sea captain, not a railroad engineer, is required.

My extra-low enjoyment of Mike White basketball remains unaffected.

His son is a senior in high school and a pretty good player. He left to spend more time with family, which knowing his history is on point.

The recruiting issues were with Wiseman and the head coach Penny having a prior relationship with him and giving him money for moving expenses. I havent heard of anything else

My source was a Memphis newspaper comment from a reader, it might be total speculation. I hope it is incorrect.

This was expected. He will be a different player now that he has a coach who isn’t ymca level.

Here is an interesting sentence from BR's Tyler Conway,

Nembhard said he plans to work on improving as a perimeter shooter and sculpting his body while sitting out the coming season. He is a career 32.7 percent shooter from three-point range.

I assume this is part of the feedback he received from the nba. UF lists his weight at 193. Is that too light for the league?

I don’t think he is necessarily too light but he does have to work on his shot. The year he is out will give him ample opportunity to do so. I suspect he will only play 1 season at Gonzaga. It is extremely rare for a five year player to make it in the NBA....even to be drafted. Wishing him luck.

Here’s my wild prayer. White decided to run tempo and told Nembhard to pack. I also am praying to win the lottery without buying a ticket...

At least it wasn’t a lateral move. Would’ve been a lot more annoyed if he went to a non Top 10 school.

Glad to have you back, M1, but you’re a White buttlicker. You’ll make any and all excuses for White and his coaching just as those did for the Sharkhumper.

Nembhard will be extremely successful under Few. Few’s a winner and a Coach. Unlike anything White is.

Negative. I would have absolutely no objection with replacing White. My point in the past was that he was NOT going to be replaced at that time. It just was not going to happen.
However I am on the record now as saying he WILL be replaced after this season if he cannot succeed with this group.

My biggest objection to White has been his hesitation in utilizing an uptempo approach given the makeup of this roster.

I agree on Nembhard. He will do very well with Gonzaga. I do have my doubt at this point whether he will be an NBA player. That will be interesting to follow.
