This is weak. Players serious about their legacy spend the big bucks to donate high end carpet squares like @Swamp Donkey loves so much.

You joke about the B- rated facilities we have (though I know from other posts of yours, that you agree they are subpar, so this isn't really directed at you), but look at the "rendering" from the article and it matches up exactly with the same old mindset of Gator facilities. I don't even care if SI created this image, as that is even more telling that SI would predict Bradley Beal's fuel bar is a set of walmart breakroom quality cabinets and a $10 office clock crammed behind a massage table. Showing the worthlessness of the Champions Classic trophy, by placing it on the fridge, is an amusing touch regardless of who made this picture. As is acknowledging that UF won't even spring for a dish washer, so we need the dish soap and drying rack by the sink. The new cry of Gator facilities: We can't even get a washing machine.

Another damning article on White's failures.

Why Nembhard Fits At Gonzaga (And Why He Didn’t Totally Fit At Florida) | GatorCountry.com

1. The Gators took this offense right out of the Gonzaga playbook at the start of conference play when they were still playing Kerry Blackshear Jr. and Omar Payne together. It made sense—the Gators wanted to play two bigs at the same time so they took a look at the best two-big offense in the country, Gonzaga.

It was during this stretch of two big basketball where the Gators played their best offense of the season and Nembhard absolutely thrived in it. Take a look at a few plays where Florida’s offense looked unstoppable and Nembhard looked like a star operating it.

For whatever reason the Gators went away from this offense midway through conference play and their offense never looked as good as when they were running these pick and roll options.

2. Another reason Gonzaga was interested in Nembhard is his play in transition.

Now, this has been a contentious issue over the last two seasons as some people have blamed Nembhard for Florida’s slow tempo, but there are people (like myself) that will aggressively push back on that.

We can argue about how much of that was Nembhard’s fault (the consensus take, I think would be fair to say) versus the fault of scheme and the other players on the floor (my take) but how’s this for an argument. If there is a team that knows about playing fast, it’s Gonzaga, and they want Nembhard to run their fast break and fit into one of the most uptempo schemes in the country.

I want to be excited by our roster. But then White kicks me in the balls with a steel toed boot.

I always dreamed of having a break room countertop named after me.

FSU signed a grad transfer Center from a Canadian school:

Florida State announced an additional basketball signing on Friday for the upcoming season. The newest addition is Tanor Ngom, a 7-foot-2, 236-pound prospect from Ryerson University in Canada.

The full release from FSU is below:

Tanor Ngom, who averaged a double-double of 16.7 points and 11.5 rebounds for Ryerson University in Canada this past season, has signed a Grant in Aid to play basketball at Florida State for Leonard Hamilton and his staff.

Ngom (7-2, 236 lbs) averaged 10.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots in 60 career games during three seasons at Ryerson University (2018-20). He shot .610 percent from the field (including .635 percent as a junior), .710 from the free throw line (including a career-high .813 as a sophomore) and blocked a total of 109 shots in leading the Rams to a 55-15 record while at Ryerson.

Where does Leonard Hamilton keep finding these tall dudes? He is the only coach in the country who stacks 7 footers on his roster.

For those expecting the gators to play much faster next season, Eric Fawcett completely destroys those hopes.

Will The Gators Play Fast In 2020-21? | GatorCountry.com

How easy is it for a team that has spent the last two seasons playing slowly to crank up the intensity and thrive in the fast break?

Considering the number of D-I programs in the country it’s fair to say teams in the top 115 of offensive possession length can be considered fast teams as they would be in the top third of the country. If the Gators truly want to be a team that plays fast, being in the top 115 of offensive possession has to be the goal.

So, with all the being said, there have only been 7 teams in the last decade to do what Florida is hoping to do.

If you thought that it was as simple as a team flipping a switch to play faster, clearly that’s not the case. It has happened so rarely in the last decade that a team has made such huge changes in one season that expecting the Gators to do it could be a bit far fetched

This twitter post comes from the article above. To those who expect a much faster pace from the gators next season, don’t get your hopes up. History is against that happening.

As Eric Fawcett proved, such a change is highly unlikely. This is like Muschump saying he will play faster.
