Wife had surgery Monday so I’ve been cooking all week. Had a gift card for PF Chang’s and picked it up tonight. Haven’t had it in probably 10 years or more. Aside from the tempura shrimp appetizer, it was absolute garbage. Who keeps these places afloat and why?

Always opt for the king pao . George likes his chicken spicy !

Good to hear and I still don’t like PF Chang’s

Fully agree. In addition to work, I was a full time Mr Mom all week, and had both in-laws in my house. But it was the overpriced knockoff Chinese food last night that almost sent me over the edge.

I just got email offers from a local pizza place and for a diet exercise program. They seem to be in conflict with each other.

I don’t necessarily claim to have a vast range when it comes to the kitchen. But these are my burgers from tonight, which I overcooked. Took a bite before the pic by mistake. Looks like an angry man on the left trying to bite the one on the right.

I had a bunch of crap to do this afternoon and these didn't come off til close to 11 tonight, so they'll get eaten tomorrow. I did have a couple just to make sure that bark is real.

They look great buddy. Looks like you got a good brew to the left too. One thing that can ruin a quality burger though for me is pickles . One of the more
vile things a man can eat. Pickles are right up there with whole wheat pasta as far as level of dreadful .I’d rather starve than have either .

It takes the right pickle but pickles will go with most any food. Pickled okra, beets, tomatoes, watermelon, sweet, dill, sour pickles. People will pickle most anything but I don't classify pickled eggs or pig feet as pickles.

My current off the shelf go-to. I never cared much for dill pickles but I like brine or barrel cured. I really like hot okra.

To the best of my knowledge I have never had store bought bread & butter pickle. My store bought pickle is kosher dills.

But my new pickle is candied jalapenos (Cowboy Candy}. I like them on nearly everything, last nite I had them with chicken-n-rice.

I really don’t like bread and butter. I guess it’s like coke and Pepsi - generally like one or the other.
