The simplest solution to all of this revenue sharing/exploitation talk is to eliminate the “3 years removed” rule. If a kid thinks he’s a professional and should he compensated as such, then let him go. It won’t work in most cases, and we all know it. It will merely send kids from bad areas back to those bad areas much sooner and with no degree. But unfortunately, this current generation, and technically much of the group that are supposed to be in charge right now, seem insistent on learning everything the hard way. So let them. Stop forcing kids against their will to go to college, but make it clear that there isn’t a fallback option years later. Make a choice and live with it. Let the ones who appreciate the development and education element go in their place. It may alter the game to an extent for a few years. But at some point, this has to end. I’ll take slower, less exciting football over this seemingly never ending embarrassment.
I agree with sofla, as it usually is.

The only thing required for exciting football is parity. College ball is clearly slower than pro ball and played by inferior athletes on whole, but it is still exciting as hell watching kids from your school try to beat kids from the rival school. Nobody is going to miss a few spoiled brats and ungrateful "student athletes." Pack your schyt and get on the fvking bus home.

I understand my school teacher neighbor who has had a heart attack and cancer wanting to opt out, but young football players? I don't get it.
We should be able to pull a scholarship if a kid refuses to play while healthy, and it should not count towards a year of eligibility either meaning the player should still have to play the 3 years to be eligible to go to the NFL. If your Copeland youd be forced to come back to school instead of opting out then going pro.

And this virus crap is out of control its killing 1.5% of people in Fl that are contracting it. You have a 98.5% chance of surviving it why are people acting as if that number is 50/50. The masks do nothing they now are saying wear goggles as well. It really feels like were on a game show and they are seeing how far they can take it before the say weve been punked.

Kadarius Toney might opt out

I'm sure the NFL will love his film of those six touches he's had the last 2 years.

Again, it just continues the trend of those with poor work habits anyway are the ones most likely to believe this bull****.

They should let them all join the teachers union.

CDC says 0.4%, as of today, but of course their numbers are still shyt.

But that is crazy. Worldmeter/ Johns Hopkins says 4.8 mil cases and only 158k deaths, which is 0.03.... and that includes the 5k motorcycle wrecks, suicides, and other trauma, and 70% of NY and surrounds states deaths who tested negative for Covid on PCR but were counted anyway to spruce up the numbers.

Or the 100% positive that some labs crank out, etc.

Well I am not going to be judgmental over any player who decides to not play b/c of health concerns. So being that the scholarship will still be recognized, there would be no better time than to dive deep in your class work and obtain that diploma. what are many of these guys going to do, go train for the NFL draft? last time I checked we do not have a roster of high NFL draft picks, or many NFL draft picks for that matter?
