MAC conference just postponed its football season

This may be a good chance for us to fix Mullen's sh*tty recruiting a poach a good 2-star HS recruit who is now a starter at a MAC school!! Maybe get us an INSIDE LB, or a RB, or a couple of Offensive TACKLES??

With all the fear being whipped up in this election year, maybe football needs to wait until after the election to start the season. Biden wins and the media declares all clear , virus no worse than the flu, and Fauci guarantees vaccine by December 1. Trump wins and the Defcon Level goes back to 5, Fauci gets transferred to Ice Station Zebra, and the media melts down in search of another way to get Trump out of office before the next election.
Right now I agree that it doesnt make sense to start the season with so much fear and social , and political pressure on players and schools. The first spread will cancel games, and disrupt the season. No fans in the stands, and we have seen how that is working now. Top players opting out and distractions every where.

Push football and basketball back to mid January starts. You could have the CFP and bowl games in April, May Madness, and the CWS in June.

Would any draft eligible stars play in spring ball vs preparing for draft?

No change in offense, no bowl sanctions, no family health issues(going the wrong direction anyway) and I believe his entire family moved to Alabama. So at this point the NCAA should just stop acting as if a reason is needed and acknowledge they’ve adopted a completely open transfer position.

"There's going to be a lot of unintended consequences," he said.

You don’t say.

Unless the transfer is to UF, then they have to sit one year.

I am old so my memory is dicey at best, but I thought Tua #2 was transferring to FIU initially. You know they all went to Bama, b/c just like Willie Sutton robbing banks, that is where the money was. So I thought FIU would be where the money was given Tua #1 signing bonus + salary

I'm actually tired of this they all went elsewhere bc of the money crap. Do some kids get some money? Yeah. Do you think Florida is some bastion of propriety where that never happens? Yeah right. They go elsewhere bc in addition to the money all the schools including us throw out, other coaches actually work incessantly to get them in the class. Ours go on vacation. #relentlesseffortmyass

I was not taking a shot at Bama or anyone else. Yes we cheat at UF, but we suck at it. I was saying that the family I thought was following Tua #1 to Miami b/c he was now the breadwinner.

I’ve been saying it for months. Just prolonging the inevitable.

anyone viewing the situation thru a purely sensible/safety related prism would have to see non conf games being cancelled, then plenty of conferences scheduling conf games in their place and scratch their head. Bc it makes absolutely zero sense. The non conf games were cancelled in part to limit exposure, so how does replacing them change anything? It doesn't, bc they weren't cancelled for that reason. That was just the justification. The real reason was to get out of all individual contracts to reduce the mess of full cancellation up front. Now all the P5s can cancel the season in a instant. That was the reason, and it's going to happen. They are just waiting to the last minute to give the appearance they did all they could, and also maximizing the opportunity to capitalize on another potential unfortunate event which will better justify cancellation.
