I like the lid on that one. I bought the 28" model a few weeks ago and it didn't come with any kind of lid or cover. I'm going to try and make one with some sheet metal that I picked up back in the Spring. Just need to find a way to bend it is all...

On the Blackstone FB page people show different lids that they've made. Maybe you can find something similar in the 28" size.

Found an inexpensive alternative for a 36" B. S. Lid. I used an AUTOZONE OIL DRIP PAN which they sell for ten dollars. Aluminum Pan is 36x 25.
Centered the Pan and marked intersection of griddle and cut little pie shapes from aluminum Bent short edges in and put mild bend in front of Pan to allow drainage. Perfect fit lightweight and inexpensive.

I do. Food is a big part of your life and you are excellent at cooking and enjoying with family.

Also, you can’t center pictures.
My wife tried to center it with the light, for some reason. IDGAF about the walls.
That being said, if you’re going to be using the griddle on tile like I do, be prepared to be scrubbing said tile monthly depending on use. And don’t put it too close to a wall or it’ll get covered with grease just like the floor.

What I like about the lid is that a) it’s insulated, and b) it’s hinged so I can close it while cooking and really heat up the food.

About my only complaint about this model is the design forces all the heat out from under the griddle out the sides, right into the shelves (have the oiled rag the caught on fire to prove it). Don’t put anything on the side shelves close to the griddle that might burn or melt (have a melted plastic bowl too).

Love the paper towel holder and trash bag holder.

Cool idea. I see you're practicing social distancing in your cooking. Who got the third one? I decided I would skip the oatmeal diced apple cinnamon and cane syrup this morning for a bowl of grits and fried eggs. Found out the damned microwave is fooked up (schit never seems to stop).

Boar's Head Maple Glazed ham, sharp cheddar, and an egg. Cook @ 350* until desired egg texture. Easy as it gets. Just spaced out to make extraction easier. Two for me, One for the wife, and two for the son.

Wife made a roasted chicken tonight and some rigatoni alfredo. I made the salad(not pictured). For GBM, she also opened a bottle of Il Bruciato.

And side note, the pineapple in the background is from my grandfather’s garden in Ocala. He almost made it to 100 (this June), but came up a few months short. So his plants still producing for us is a nice reminder.

Nice wine choice. I bet it went well with what looks like a nice dinner.
