Lots of comments on the recruiting thread keep going back to one of our nagging problems: The Offensive Line

Last year sucked for this unit and we're still carrying the last of the Butters leftovers at this position into the 2020 (?) season.

A couple guys have started to emerge but we don't have anything like the top end talent that Bama and UGA walk away with every recruiting season.

Minus the Butters redshirt seniors, and guys like Bleich and Walker who have transferred, and anyone on this list who has also left and I forgot about it, here is who we have picked up starting in 2018 and running thru our current class. I don't have 247 or rivals rankings but someone else might. Height and weight are freshman class numbers and several guys have lost/gained I'm sure.

2018:
Griffin McDowell 3 star 6'4" 270
Noah Banks 4 star 6'7" 295
Richard Gouraige 4 star 6'5" 275

2019:
Michael Tarquin 4 star 6'5" 290
Kingsley Eguakun 3 star 6'3" 280
Will Harrod 4 star 6'6" 305
Riley Simonds 3 star 6'4" 290
Ethan White 3 star 6'5" 370
Wardrick Wilson 4 star 6'5" 298 (this guy is the bigfoot of our team. does he still exist?)

2020:
Joshua Braun 4 star 6'6" 335
Richie Leonard 3 star 6'3" 295
Gerald Mincey 3 star 6'5" 317
Stewart Reese 3 star 6'5" 345 (transfer)

2021:
Jake Slaughter 3 star 6'5" 310
ROCCO 6 star 6'4" 210
Adrein Strickland 3 star 6'7" 320
Javonte Gardner 4 star 6'5" 275
Deyavie Hammond 3 star 6'4" 320

We have gotta start pulling in some high 4* and 5* O/linemen!
We are playing one dimensional offensive football right now due to our lack of a run O/line. We have got to get talented players that can move defensive linemen around so we can run as well as pass!

I like the Garage, Ethan, and Braun a lot. I guess we will see re Eggy this year.

Reese is a one year only deal.

I would rather we bring in one or two juco OL than these low ranked projects we’re bringing in these classes.

Most of the Jucos are also 3 or 2*.

Once we get a real running QB on the field, people will forget about the perceived OL problems

AR15 could be quite the antidote.

Defensive talent is on the up and if the OLs you named turn out good along with another couple surprises we may have a decent enough front for Anthony to run thru. The team he inherits the after Emory’s tenure and his potential presence in the Tebow role could be Dan’s best chance for a serious run......

I've got a lot of hope for all 3 of the remaining 2020 signees. I think Harrod and Tarquin can eventually see the field. Egukan may be a starter this year, definitely next year (he got screwed w/ Reese coming in). McDowell & Simonds are likely busts.

I'd prefer the transfer portal over going after JUCO OL's also.
