I assume we who lived through it will always remember the joys of 1990 & 1991, when the Fun n’ Gun brought a us a best in the SEC in 1990 Championship in 1990 and first one to officially keep in 1991.

I kept my commemorative Coke can all these years until this happened:

I’ve cleaned up the 1/2 that leaked everywhere on our back porch. The weird thing is I cannot find the top.

How fitting. Once we exploded onto the scene in 1990, the ceiling previously applied to UF was no where to be found.

My best man had one of those proudly on display above the mantle. That is, until we had a party and someone decided to use it as a mixer (it had been sitting warm atop the mantle for years). Pissed us both off to no end.

I always stick with glass as it tends to have less expansion over time...

My dad has the ‘84 bottle.

I have the ‘90 can, but it’s opened and empty. Weirdest thing. I go to a party back in the early 90s, mix a couple Makers and Cokes, and the next day I find this can in my car.

My 91 Coke cans disintegrated years ago, not sure what was in that coke.

84 Coke bottle still going strong.

We are currently packing up the house to move, but we found my bottle collection and I got a chance to show my daughter the different coke and pepsi (which UF had their contract with Pepsi) bottles to commerate the SEC titles and National Titles. She also got to see the football that I had signed by the entire '87 team.

Well they lasted longer than the 1996 Championship Pepsi cans I had. The cans started to get little pin holes in them 5 or 6 years ago. They spewed Pepsi all over my bookshelf full of Gator memorabilia.

My wife collects anything/everything with the Dr Pepper logo. She used to have some Dr Pepper cans on the top shelf in our foyer closet. They sprung leaks and the soda dripped on several of my suits and jackets. Best to just initially poke some small holes in the bottom of the cans and drain out the soda. That way the can appears to be intact and it can be saved.
