Christ, I've probably lost 5 pounds laughing so hard my stomach hurts when scrolling through this thread.

Chatter at it's finest. Well-done everyone.

I was sitting and savoring the moment, as yet another FSU season opener landed with a resounding thud, when it occurred to me that the great cosmic cycle of failure/success/failure has descended upon Tallahassee the way "Little Boy" fell upon Hiroshima. For 40 years, like it or not, the clowns were one of the most consistently successful programs in CFB. Although I was repulsed by both Bobby and Jimbo, and came to loathe both for their hypocrisy and underhandedness in all they did and said, I had no choice but to grudgingly acknowledge their "achievements."

But those days are over and the prospects of ever duplicating that giddy, four decade run are virtually zero. I can only contemplate with utter delight how miserable it must have been to sit through all those hours of bad weather, crappy FB, and the growing realization of just how far they have fallen and that the new boss clown looks a lot like the old boss clown. I'm old enough to remember when FSU FB looked a lot like it does now. It never seemed right or fitting that a 3rd rate school with the standards and ethics of a crack whore could cheat the odds for so long - but somehow, someway, they did. However, at long last, the cankerous, diseased old sow has finally returned to form and I am so phukking happy I could just schytt. That is all.

I got to admit some of it bothers me because many of the reasons that they are a dumpster fire are the same reasons we are a dumpster fire.

Florida versus Florida State is a game that nobody cares about anymore. and Florida high school talent is still going elsewhere in droves.

I really enjoyed them rolling into Gainesville with thoughts of championships and us kicking their fuching asses.

I see your point, but to compare our current state with theirs is just not reasonable. Everyone knows you hate Mullen and that's fine, there are aspects of our current regime that frustrate the living hell out of anyone who's paying any attention at all. But although we are not who we all want to be, we are leaps and bounds and orders of magnitude better than FSU. And unlike Jimbo, Mullen should eventually leave a foundation for a program that will at least give the right HC/staff a fighting chance at reassuming our rightful place in the upper reaches of CFB. FSU is dead meat and almost certainly will remain so for the foreseeable future. At least we still have a pulse.

Dumbass Coach Cornrows should have stayed at Memphis. Now the Holes are hoping and praying(thankfully for FSU, Georgia Tech is in the Coastal division) they will never play against Jeff Sims again. Dude is gonna rub it in Cornrows face everytime he gets the chance.

I'm starting to believe Cornrows is much worse than Tagglewain.

I believe this was around the time Blackmon fumbled on a 4th down run that wouldn't have got FSU a 1st down anyway.

After a divided board beating the hell out of each other since COVID, it sure was nice to come together in watching FSU lose. We can all put our differences aside and agree that it's glorious and makes everything in life temporarily seem better.

It's also nice just to talk about FOOTBALL and nothing else.

This was obviously a trap game for Georgia Tech as they were looking ahead with 21st ranked UCF on their schedule.

Had to check in on this thread. Love anytime watching the Nulls lose. Just good to have some football. Gonna be a WEIRD season. But I love the new norm for the Semis.
