Let’s try something new with a Wednesday Worsts thread since we have Tuesday Favorites.

What’s the WORST road you’ve ever been on for whatever reason?

For our family it’s the Tail of the Dragon in NC. It’s 318 curves in 11 miles and is the shortest route to dad’s cabin in Robbinsville. Someone almost always throws up. Been on it 30 or more times. Awful in a car. Motorcycles love it.

I-40 between Memphis and Little Rock, Arkansas. Wife and I went that route to Branson, MO years ago. I've driven over plowed fields that were smoother...

Alabama back roads from FL are pretty awful but the interstate through Ohio are even worse! Come to think of it, everything in Ohio is worse.

In Cleveland, there were potholes big enough to park a car in.

Then, I went to Romania for work and found dirt roads with bigger potholes.

I've done the Deal's Gap dragon a few times. Those 318 turns are epic on a bike! My buddy and I did some pretty crazy stuff on our Ducatis back then when we were bulletproof. Spent a good portion of that 11 miles with either the front or the back tire off the ground

From what I've heard, Lombard street in San Francisco is pretty bad. We avoided it when Mrs. Nalt and I went out there in 2012.

Lombard street is more of an attraction than a real street. Its too bad the libs have made SFO such an unbearable schythole because other than that it really is a beautiful city.

We try to pull over every chance we get when a bike comes up behind us. I know y'all hate SUVs on that road. Have you seen videos of semi-trucks on it? Their GPS tells them it's a shortcut and they get stuck.

It's a beautiful street. Too bad you missed it. I was pleasantly surprised by SF almost 30 years ago. Can't imagine what it's like now though.

I-26 from Sparkle City to Columbia, especially on a Cock gameday, two lanes, meaning any grandpa in the fast lane adds an hour to your trip, not to mention it may have last been paved in 1985.

US 276 north out of Greenville to Brevard through Cesar's Head is gorgeous, as long as you aren't barfing out the window.

Main Rd, Middletown, RI.
Damn road is not wide enough. Its 4 lanes but its really 3.2 lanes. The curbs are stone and 12"high. There are pot holes every 5' and they constantly fill them, because everyday new ones open up. Like driving across randomly placed railroad tracks. I was up there on assignment for 3 months, making $$$$, and I told them to stick it because of the damned road. Life's to short.
