Im not worked up. Blatant ignorance and spinning to force a narrative when its obvious you are wrong is funny to me in a sad way.

And i stand by my point. The founders of the movement, the people that drive it, are working to burn the American system down. When the founders of the movement are evil, the movement is evil.

Again my Nazi point stands. Im sure the people that supported it were not all evil and saw the same thing you did. "Oh the FOUNDER is messed up, but I still like some of what the movement supports!'
I'm not sure what's confusing about this point. Clearly BLM is a Marxist org. If the founders admited it on social media and say, in fact, they are TRAINED marxist then case made. Now......if you follow the org, you are in fact part of the movement and defined by the terms of the movement. Some things are black and white...not gray.

I think the simple point is that people and companies like the NBA can support black causes and be for equality WITHOUT supporting specific political organizations like BLM.

BLM should have absolutely no official affiliation with any major American companies, period. No American company can justify giving those turds ONE CENT. The fact that BLACK LIVES MATTER is on NBA courts in huge letters is absolutely outrageous. These are players and a league that has gotten rich because of capitalism - PERIOD. Do they know where they would be in a Marxist society? It's ridiculous pandering that would halt in nanoseconds if it meant they were losing one thin dime.

Do these spoiled, filthy rich athletes want to distribute their wealth to the poor? I think we all know the answer.

Personally, at this point, I would love for them all to lose everything and to see what it's like

So would I, but if they thought there was any real risk of that happening, they wouldn't pipe up with a single word. Instead, we're supposed to sit back and listen to Lebron James lecture us on "equality" from his solid-gold mansion while in the next breath defends the Chinese Communist Party.

My feelings exactly. I’m all for equality, agree we need some police reform, etc..
What I will NOT accept is these folks trying to tell me I’m a bad person if I don’t support the BLM organization. Fuchs that and Fuchs them!

Count me in on this club as well. If I saw any of the fine, upstanding black people I know being treated with the slightest bit of unwarranted disrespect during a routine traffic stop, I'm all for canning that cop. But I know full well that won't happen, as much as CNN, Twitter, etc. want to make it seem because they are normal people. And while I'm good with trying to fix some bad--or just not cut out for the job--police, I'll also not lose an ounce of sleep about any of these clowns that the NFL/NBA and others are insisting on honoring for being criminals who rolled the dice with their actions.

The bottom line is people are willing to even go down the road that there’s still a need for “equality” in today’s society...that’s how far left that their message is...we’re willing to concede that even though it’s a false narrative as well

Point is that they don't care about anything but their money. Marxism, socialism, communism is for other people...not him. Barely has a HS education so i'm not sure how intelligent he or any of the others really are. Now, if in time their support of BLM hits them in the pocket book you'll see them in the Opthamologists office taking one eye out of their heads and putting it in their asses so they can back track.

Exactly. The pro sports won't be on this BLM wagon if it starts really hurting profits

I think some of you are way overly optimistic on this. Yes, it's a business, so they will monitor any continued impact it has. But they've hitched their wagons to this star and aren't likely to abandon it in any quick fashion. They have the financial means to withstand it for a lot longer than some may think. Most owners see their teams as a hobby, little more. It's why more hands on guys like Jones are so widely known. And no one will want to be that first guy to kill all of this, opening themselves up to be the one franchise that woke people don't want to play for. They'll be viewed as caving to demands of terrible fans. Should ratings continue lower, the first step will be to call out those who are no longer watching/attending/buying as "racists" and basically say that those turned off by BLM or all the constant social justice talk are just making their point that America is systemically racist. I have no idea how long they'll hold their position, but it will be a while(like years), and that will be their first move.

Well, get ready, because it’ll soon be all over college football fields, helmets and jerseys also.

And that is a hill many of us are willing to die on. PERIOD! This giving in BS that we have been doing for the last decade is part of the reason we are in this shyt storm to begin with. Secondly, there are forces at work that want to destroy the country. Let me say this one more time for those who may not quite get it. There are forces at work that want to DESTROY this country. They don't give a sht about racial or social justice..not interested in solving the systemic racism problem and could care less about black lives.

I'm overly optimistic on anything and if there money suffers you best damn believe that people like Lebron and other sports figures will change their tune or just go silent. What I may be overly optimistic about is whether we have the will to stand toe to toe with these people and have it out.......for the sake of our children.

Question for the NFL: How many kids between the ages of 8-20 are watching games on Sunday?

Yeah, that wasn’t meant as some sort of slight to you or anyone else. I’m just not convinced that rating drops and the financial loss will make them change their tune anytime soon. Just look at ESPN. They’re hemorrhaging right now and just keep doubling down. So I can’t see owners caring nearly as much as we think. Especially with the limited or no attendance this year. At a minimum, it will be next season before they really have it in their face.

But yes, most of what you posted, especially how we arrived here, I agree with.

I think the owners care A LOT about losing money, far more than you let on. The fact is, they are allowing this because they simply feel they have no choice. If they don't allow it, they'll be branded as slave-owning racists....and that's not even hyperbole. I think they are hoping this is a one-year thing for the players to get it out of their system.

Just watched Braves/Mets, not turning the NFL on at all, haven't even seen a score today except the Falcons/Cowboys game they had on the ticker.

I don’t care for pro sports.
