The longest PAR 5 hole on tour(Korn Ferry anyway) is 773 yds.

Bryson could get on in 2....easily.

Think about that. :scratchhead:

Good luck on the two shots to a 773 yrd par 5. Who designs something that brutal. I'd have played it as par 7 and walked away happy with that. Bryson will figure out that length ain't everything and I'll bet he dials it down. He went 5 over on one hole while trying three times to slug his way out of crap . Three times for God's sake. I was long for my day but let a screamer lose almost every other round or more. When I did, I said cuss words...directed to myself and then took my medicine. Golf is a game which you absolutely hate but you love it way more than you hate it.

Unless it's down wind in a hurricane, at high altitude, with a 45º downslope on a concrete fairway he isn't getting home in 2 from 773 yards.

But it would be fun to try!

Jack has said more than one time on the broadcasts this week that he's been lobbying for over 40 years for the tour to adopt a standard ball that all the players have to use. Seems like the easiest way to get distance under control, because they can't keep making the courses longer and they can't have guys hitting half swing lob wedge approaches on every hole either.

On Golic and Wingo, some guy said his driver only has a 3 degree loft.

all his clubs also have the same shaft length.

I didn’t get to see the final round because I was out playing a round of golf myself. I would imagine that the simpler mechanics of his swing holds up better on pressure packed Sundays than a swing that requires a lot of rhythm and timing.

I know a lot of folks find him annoying, now he’s going to be insufferable

Man, its just crazy watching someone muscle their way around a golf course like this.

I don’t find him particularly annoying, the gushing commentary gets old fast. But they gush about a lot of players.

I do wonder about a guy adding that much muscle that quickly, and intentionally adding fat, too. It’s his life, but it strikes me as an unwise and unnecessary approach to gaining more distance, especially if he used/uses PEDs.

This dude only hit 23 fairways all week and won the US Open. Unheard of.
