Spikes or Jevon kearse
One of those two is correct.

Did you ever actually watch Kearse? .How old are you? Kearse was an absolute garbage linebacker and useful.in only one thing, blitzing. But he was too damn small even in nfl after they "beefed" him up.and koved him to DE to stop the run.

he's basically exactly what we ****ing have one trick ponies that can do nothing but blitz.

Spikes would probably be my answer because not only was the best middle linebacker we've ever had by a gigantic margin, but he was an animal. and he arrived on campus with it.

He was the tebow of the defense. People talked about how ferocious he was in practice and how he would attack anyone who wasn't practicing hard enough on either side.

there's some other really nice examples that I think any of the defensive tackles or interior linebackers would be great choices.

The thing about a guy like Reggie Nelson is that dumbfuchs Grantham would likely move him to Burney's "linebacker" spot or at least misusing my having the linebackers drop into the box every play to try to make up for his dwagshytastic recruiting. I just don't feel like Reggie Nelson would change this defense much.

Of course he'd probably put Brandon Spikes (255-262ish) at defensive tackle.

Truthfully there's no overcoming the Choker's ineptitude.

Im saying at least Kearse could rush the QB and create some kind of pass rush

We need more beef on the D-line, so my pick is Sharrif Floyd. RFN and Spikes were tempting, but games are won in the trenches and our D-line gets manhandled too often.

Big Money was another thought.

probably want to go with somebody without an injury history but it's kind of hard to do it defensive tackle. you got to have a lot of beef inside because those guys get dinged up. I wish dipshyt Chokin Dwag had actually paid attention to football and all of his years he was......."coaching" football.

The sad news is that even one great defensive tackle would not change the stench of our defense much.

Hopefully Dan will fix this, even if it means moving an OL. If he does he will continue to win me over.

Dan Mullen hints changes could help UF be more stout on defense

Hinting and doing are two different thing.

And fixing the root of the problem for good is a much bigger step still. That being said, he has changed DCs often in 12 years. And changed offense just once.

With Kyrie Campbell AWOL, we need another big body in the middle. Too much is being asked of Slaton. Constant double teams and no plays off. Dude is gassed by the end of the game. You can’t play a big guy that way.

Either Campbell is back for our next game or we might see a reserve OL moved to defense.

That plus benching Wilson and Stiner improves the D significantly.

Alex.
