“I got a call from my Mom. ‘Your dad died.’ My knees buckled. I couldn’t believe it. He was my dad. Nobody or nothing could kill him. Except mom. He’d always told me and my brothers, ‘Boys, when I go, I’m gonna be makin’ love to your mother.’ And that’s what happened. He had a heart attack when he climaxed.”

I guess this news requires the obligatory comment that Papa came and went all at once. There’s worse ways to go.

I feel like his dad had the right idea .. don’t wait around for prostate cancer, Alzheimer’s, or antifa and BLM peaceful protesters to kill you.. go out with a bang

I imagined him telling this story in a long drawn out manner, thick southern accent, several pauses, really trying to paint the picture, like he did in A Time To Kill.

Maybe, but I can see him ending the eulogy in the vain of his character Wooderson in Dazed and Confused...”Check ya later!”

If only he had John Grisham write that response and Joel Schumacher direct it.

Depending on how old McConaughey was at the time he found out determines whether or not he needs counseling I guess.
