The AP poll has it right. Clemson, OSU, and Bama are the top 3. And by a mile.

Georgia is next. Probably by itself. We are somewhere in the next tier. As long as the defense plays this poorly, 10 is about right.

Until the next 30 teams start their seasons then we will see.

who? The Pac10? Lol.

Maybe Oregon because of their recruiting.

Big10? - OSU already accounted for. And then maybe Penn State. Meatchicken isn’t going to do anything. Their recruiting has been abysmal.

Our defense is historically bad, we will probably have two losses before the Pac-12 and B1G seasons really gets started. Addressed Michigan and Harbaugh's worthless ass on the coaches thread. And is a two loss would be a solid season at this point. But with this defense who knows. And to pretend that the offense is going to score on every drive or always be red hot is just fools gold.

I know, I know we have faced the offensive juggernauts like fighting Chumps, Ole Piss, and the faggies. And if we were playing are original schedule (before all-SEC schedule) I might agree, but now there is no UCFs on our schedule this year.

I highly doubt that. Other than LSU, we shouldn’t lose a game until Georgia. And LSU is a 50/50. The offense is elite and the schedule is mediocre.

we’re obviously not winning the SEC with this defense but let’s not get crazy.

We might not lose to Missouri, or we might... but we shouldn't.. but we shouldn't have lost to the faggies either. The fuching Leghumpers should beat us, which will be before the Pac-12 season starts and the B1G will be in week 3. We can't stop anyone, if we can't stop a Muschamp team who can we stop?

No one is getting crazy, Tennessee, Missouri, Vandy and Arkansas should be easy wins. I can't say the same for UGA, UK, or LSU. Can we truly go into any game thinking it will be a runaway with it, outside of maybe Vandy?

So, once or twice a week, the wife and I will go to the thrift store just to see what they have. I found this gem, which I will give my father in law(die hard Dwag fan)for Christmas as a gag gift.

View attachment 26694

It isnt a gag gift if its the truth

Too close to home.

I wish it was close to home. I haven't felt like Next Year is our Year since 2007.

Only Richt wasn't doing it with a top 3 recruiting class every year.
wrong. Richt regularly had top three classes.

but so did we.

Kirby sharts is recruiting slightly better, he's getting way more five stars. the problem is WE are finishing 5th or 6th in the SEC and cannot compete.

I think your memory is slipping lately. Richt did not regularly have top three classes. Depending on who your gold standard for recruiting is, he had one; usually his classes were between 6 and 12. Shart has taken recruiting there to an insane level; his last four classes ('17-'20) were #3, #1, #1, &#1 (on Rivals).

According to Rivals only his 2002 class was a top 3 class (3rd rated class). They didn't start their list until 2002, so I couldn't see his 2001 class ranking. From 2002 to 2015 he had 3 top 5 classes (including 02); 8 classes between 6-10; and 3 classes 11-15. His average ranking over those years was 7.714.

I never said a runaway. I just said we should win those games. 2 or 3 losses on our schedule.

Max.

Even with this ****ty defense.

I wish I had your optimism about this team, but it wouldn't surprise me if we have 2 losses or if we have 5 losses. At some point a team is going to exploit the lack of depth up the middle of the defense, probably UK. Also even our best offenses had off halves/days and with this defense you can't. The attrition due to the lack of recruiting, and defensive scheme there are too many holes.

I've been very vocal about my frustrations with our defense. But it is worth noting that in their 3 other games, against Aub, ut and Vu, the gamecocks are averaging 32.6 points per game. We actually held them to a season low of 24 points. I fully get that it's WM and he's still garbage. But his team this year has been better on offense, even taking us out.

But that’s sort of a side point. I’m really more surprised to see greater concern with Uk than Ark. To me, Uk is not a real threat. While nothing will come easily this year, I think we beat them. I could see Ark presenting a problem because of the way Odom has them playing defense.

Auburn, UT an Vu also have a lot of problems, but there are on both sides of the ball. Auburn was turning it over like Zeke on Monday night (at their own 29, 49, and the 8 yard lines). Honestly wish we had Auburn on our schedule instead of Arkansas, because Auburn is a complete mess. Your Gamecock average score is deceiving, because you take away Vandy (who I already mentioned we should boat race) that average is just 28.5. Tennessee is a well know issue, they might as well have a ginger at quarterback.

Concerns about UK is there ability to run the ball and how they have dominated us for 7 of the last 8 quarters they know how to attack our defensive scheme. Now we have worse players than the previous two years. Dominate the line of scrimmage and keep the offensive off the field means less opportunities for Trask&Pitts one three and out could be tragic in that game.

Arkansas worries we on the defensive side of the ball, Odom has coached well against us since joining the SEC, but Franks will be Franks when he is at BHG.
