I thought this was a huge, and needless, risk for Brady to go to Tampa at this stage of his career. There’s just such a better chance of a team continuing to do well rather than you turning a bad team around with your own play(at 40+). The whole thing favored BB and the Pats. But my goodness if he’s not totally proving me wrong.

Never ever doubt a Brady! Ever!

The bucs were a good QB away from being competitive. Least on offense

And LOL the pats being 2-4. Guess we know who the key to the success was. Not BB

Lets not forget they basically rebuilt their oline in the last two offseasons, which is a huge part of this. Brady behind last years line would have been broken. The Pats have had attrition catch up to them, this isn't their first slump, and it's too early to say it was just Brady.

It’s always the players. Coaches hurt more than help in the NFL. Except in the case of a special OC.

Coaches matter more in college because they develop and recruit.

I agree with both of you. To Doug's point, it's still early and things could go the other direction. But as much as I think it's more players than coaches, the risk to me was doing it now. If Brady had left in 2005 after back to back SBs and wanted to forge his own course, that's one thing. But theoretically, he could fail in Tampa and it still wouldn't mean he wasn't the key behind the Pats' success over twenty years. It would just mean that at this point, he's no longer that type of difference maker. Changing multiple variables is no way to get accurate data, so I still question the decision. But, it's looking good for him so far.

Belichick is a great coach, no doubt, but stubborn to a fault. I don't think Brady ever forgave him for what he viewed as robbing him of another SB ring by benching Malcolm Butler in SB LII when Brady threw for over 500 yards with 3 TD and zero picks but still lost.

Which one was that one again? Can't remember who won.

Yeah, but after watching 'da Bears against the Rams, I think their record is Foles Gold.

Both teams records are, lets be honest 4 out of the Rams 5 wins are against NFC East, and we know how garbage that division is...

You're probably right. I haven't actually watched the Rams much other than some of that last game and their defense looked pretty legit. Goff always looks like he's half asleep but has a pretty good arm. I'm not a Rams fan. I'm a Pats fan which is pretty tough now with Cam and Belichick tanking the franchise, but I'm on the Bucs Bandwagon now that Brady is there. We use to go watch them decades ago when they had Doug Willams and James Wilder.
