Went from one of the worst teams, to one of the best. I’m sure he’s okay with it.

Agree from the outhouse to almost a penthouse.

Every time I see his name I think of his draft day. Dunlap was 1st round talent who was drafted in the 2nd round b/c he got liquored up and fell asleep behind the wheel of a running car at a red light (amongst other things). Be that as it may, the player drafted exactly 1 spot ahead of Dunlap was ........Jermaine Cunningham, by New England. 2 things came to mind. One, Cunningham was not 2nd round talent and I am almost convinced that New England would have drafted Dunlap without that DUI thing. As great of a coach as Belichek is/was, he has had many questionable draft selections.

New England is successful with their chance taking because they normally trade so many picks, they are stacked with selections.

Happy for Dunlap, but I can't stand hollywood pete. He clearly read booby bowden's book, "Plausible Deniability for Dummies" when he arrived at usc.

Exactly, they offset the law of averages. Shannon Sharpe was discussing how they are so successful with FAs earlier this week. Its the mindset of their business model.

from what I read, they like to trade away their top draft picks for multiple lower draft picks.

it makes sense if you think about it. a lot of risk and a lot of money for a first round draft guy.
