I think Trask has a stronger arm than either Wuerfel or Spurrier.

Still lacks the arms strength to drive those 15-18 outs, which was especially evident in the USCe game. Thats not a knock on his college ability, just the difference between college and pros. The harsh marks shrink and that throw is harder. I think Trask drives the ball better than wuerfell, but we are also in a different era in qb development.

I am not so sure. TrasK may decide he can stay another year and continue to develop and PLAY rather than go to the pros and hold a clip board. I say that because he has not had much playing time in his career.

He also has bad luck with clipboards

Arm strength waaaay overrated. Jeff George/Jeff Dipshyt/ Franks all great examples of terrible QBs w cannons.

Trash is pretty accurate (and calm, very essential) for a college QB. Hopefully he has enough for pro's

Trask doesn't have a weak arm. It grows old reading these internet has been never was talking about arm strength like they are in any position to know actual real data about his throwing abilities. Its obvious he doesn't have a cannon but its no way obvious he lacks arm strength. He has made great throws with touch and power all season.

as long as he's not bad at whiteboarding, he'll be fine

Pitt's is not likely coming back if he's a first-round draft pick like most are assuming he is.

I was talking to a kid this weekend who happens to be the starting center for Troy, Dylan Bradshaw. (I've known the family for years). He's on the Rimington Trophy watch list. The kid is mean as hell on the field and a gentle giant off it.

Anyway, he mentioned that while our Gators were "supposed" to be quarantined, Whitemore went up to Troy and stayed in Dylan's apartment. Dylan lives with the 1st and 2nd string quarterbacks and Whitemore is friends with the QB so he came to Troy to watch him play since the Gators were shut down. He said that Whitemore mentioned what a freak athlete he was, which we all know.... but he also said Pitman was a super nice guy and HARD worker, which is always nice to hear.

I was thinking three things: (1) I can't believe Troy would let the starting center and the 1st and 2nd string quarterbacks all live together. What a nightmare if one of them had COVID! They's lose all three. (2) I wonder what the living arrangements are for our players? I would think they'd intentionally separate position groups.?. (3) Why the hell was Whitemore allowed to travel to another college campus and stay with three other guys?.?. This seems like an unnecessary risk in these times.

Edit: Also, Whitemore said Pitts was gonna make a ton of money in the NFL. Again, something we already know. I would be SHOCKED if he came back for another year. Right now is all about performing and staying healthy.
Wow...Great take, thanks for sharing. However, I’d like to think Dylan and Whitemore aren’t too happy about their names being dropped; gotta keep your “sources” anonymous. Yes, I believe Gator Chatter reaches worldwide. Lol

Btw, congratulations to Dylan for making the Rimington watch list.

Personally if I were Pitts, no matter how much he's enjoying the college life, I wouldn't come back for my senior year "unless" Trask is also coming back. This offense will look a lot different without Trask.

Irony, dude telling people talking about Trask's arm strength and how they don't have the data, While in the same post commenting on Trask's arm strength. Not your best look Neteng.

So ... I was thinking about all the Gator QBs I've seen play, and I'd say that Eric Kresser probably had the strongest arm I've seen on a Gator.

For velocity I would say Rex. For distance it has to be the giraffe.

Today (injury) is a great example why Pitt is/should not return.
