Penix showed up again in a big way! While OSU and Wisconsin remain the media darlings, Penix has consistently gotten the job done, week in and week out; leaving his fans completely satisfied. He seems to relish the fact that he still finds other teams in the dark when game day arrives.
While the nation sleeps, at least one potential playoff opponent has taken notice. After scares in successive weeks, the Trojans have managed to keep hope alive by refusing to break late in the game. If both run the table they could be headed for a CFP Rose Bowl match up. Penix will look to stretch the Trojans vertically and a bust there could lead to serious consequences. The fear is real on Trojan sideline.
Meanwhile, also in the PAC 12, the Beavers have been eliminated from further consideration after looking sloppy in two successive weeks. With no hope to make anything of themselves, the Beavers are embracing the chance to ruin other people's lives.
