Good breakdown.

I think we're really limited on what we can do because of numbers - we took too many early commits from mediocre players. I think we add at least 3 more HS kids, possibly drop 1 (maybe 2) from the current commit list....and save at least 1 spot for a transfer. I'm expecting Arnold, Langston, and ??? (maybe Hill, Seymore, Sorey, Johnson, Wallace).

I think we need the two TE's, but not a second QB. The longsnapper was just dumb. Strickland should get cut and Gardner may (likely) won't qualify. Rucker is an academic question mark too. I really like Boone, and at 6'5 250+ already, he'll be a solid 280+ SDE. I like Thomas also. Montgomery is one I'm neutral on, don't really like his size, but he's apparently a Toney replacement.

Odom could very well outgrow the position - and he's athletic enough to be an OT. But, yeah, we could have only taken one. Seems like they want 5 scholarship TE's though, as we're already high on two for the 22 class.

I'd have never offered Strickland, personally. He's not an SEC player - at least not right now (as shown by his offer sheet). They should have gone harder after Caleb Johnson, Austin Barber, and (although not an OT) Lawrence Seymore. Those are all realistic options and much better players than Strickland. It also seems like our staff doesn't put the full court press on OLs. Something has to improve in this area (OL recruiting).

Please tell me this isn't true. How many o-linemen is Mullinz going to lose before they even get on campus? And, he is a 4 star on Rivals.

That's speculation I've read multiple times elsewhere. Gardner and Rucker are the two academic risks.

Hill Arnold and Langston if we don’t get Sorey and hang onto Chief borders I wouldn’t be unhappy with that

I believe they are taking the 2nd QB because of the dumbass that got in trouble and transferred away. The addition of Kitna at least puts us back to 4 scholarship QB's.

And what if AR beats out Jones? Does Jones stick around? 2 QB is a must at this point. I don’t understand the need for 2 TE or offering a long snapper a scholarship. That’s the worst scholarship offer Mullen has made here

I know you're high on Hill, but I don't see us taking 5 WRs. If we drop Rucker I could see it. But as it stands, Hill may be the odd man out.

I think we already have a solid walk-on QB in Kahleil Jackson (freshman from Hawthorne, 6'3 200lbs, dual threat QB). He was a 2-star HS kid, but he's a hell of an athlete and put up fantastic HS numbers:

Kahleil Jackson - Football - Florida Gators

Prior to Florida: Finished high school career with 4,214 passing yards over 22 games (191.5 yards per game), as well as 66 passing touchdowns and 11 rushing touchdowns.

That dude would probably play at Florida State.

The one plus about Mullen is that he isn't a liar. Unlike Kirby not so Smart, he tells the QBs they are going to sit. EJ understood that and has said so a number of times. AR expects it as does CDR. If Trask can work his way into the first or second round, this will help Mullen sell this argument of sitting. All these star QBs want to play immediately and Mullen is selling the opposite and it seems to be working.

Well, to be fair, the 4th QB isn't being signed for the upcoming season; they're generally a guy you want on the roster (like a Mac Jones or Kyle Trask or Stetson Bennett, even) for later in their careers (basically, a guy who won't transfer). If we lose EJ - in the AR winning the job scenario - then we're down to two veteran QBs (AR & Del Rio) and whoever you bring in as the true freshman in the 22 class. So, he's an injury away from being the #2 guy. But....I agree we likely don't need a 2nd QB in this class.
