Justin Fields had thrown three interceptions in 476 career passes entering Saturday. Then he threw three picks on 30 attempts against Indiana.

Fields completed 18 of 30 passes for 300 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in a 42-35 win. Running back Master Teague added 169 rushing yards, and wide receiver Garrett Wilson had 169 receiving yards, marking the first time the Buckeyes have had a 300-yard passer, 150-yard rusher and 150-receiver in a game.

Indiana’s 491 passing yards were the most allowed by Ohio State since 1985 and the fourth most against the Buckeyes ever.

Hoosiers quarterback Michael Penix Jr. completed 27 of 51 passes for 491 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. He had four completions of at least 50 yards, after Ohio State gave up just one 50-plus-yard completion all of last season. Indiana receiver Ty Fryfogle, who had seven catches for 218 yards, became the first player in Big Ten history with consecutive 200-yard receiving games.

Indiana had minus-1 rushing yard (including sacks). The last team to throw for at least 490 and rush for negative yardage was Baylor, which threw for 603 yards and rushed for minus-20 in the 2015 Cotton Bowl against Michigan State. Before that, the previous team was 2006 Texas Tech against Texas, according to Sports Reference.

Ohio State has won 26 consecutive games against Indiana, the longest streak by one Big Ten school against another in conference history.

Tennessee has lost five consecutive games by double digits for the first time in program history, spanning 129 years (1891).

The Vols lost 30-17 at Auburn on Saturday. The previous opponents were Georgia, Kentucky, Alabama and Arkansas. In those five games, Tennessee has been outscored 108-14 in the second half.

Before this streak, Tennessee had the third-longest winning streak in the FBS going back to last year, behind Air Force and Notre Dame.

Penn State is 0-5 for the first time in program history, spanning 134 years of football (1887).

It’s the first time a preseason top-10 team has opened 0-5. The Nittany Lions lost to Iowa 41-21 on Saturday. Penn State has allowed at least 30 points in six consecutive games, dating back to last season. It’s double any other streak in school history, according to ESPN.

Florida quarterback Kyle Trask’s 31 touchdown passes through seven games are tied for the second most in FBS history.

Trask threw three touchdowns in a win against Vanderbilt, snapping his SEC record of six consecutive games with at least four. As a result, he finished one short of former Texas Tech quarterback B.J. Symons, who had 32 TD passes through seven games in 2003. Former Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell (2007) and Tulsa QB David Johnson (2008) also had 31.

Cincinnati has outscored opponents 62-18 in the fourth quarter over the past five weeks.

That includes 42-11 against the likes of SMU, Memphis and UCF, the best teams in the American Conference over the past few years. The Bearcats trailed UCF 25-22 entering the fourth quarter Saturday but won 36-33. The final margin would have been more if Cincinnati didn’t slide short of the goal line in the last minute.

UCF had been averaging 619.1 yards per game and 7.2 yards per play. Cincinnati held the Knights to 359 yards and 5.8 per play. UCF came in averaging 86 plays per game and had a season-low 61.

Rutgers scored more points against Michigan on Saturday than it had in the previous five matchups combined.

The Wolverines pulled out a 48-42 triple-overtime win against the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers had scored 37 points in the previous five matchups, including two shutout losses.

Alabama has won seven SEC games by at least 50 points under Nick Saban. The rest of the SEC has combined for six such wins in that span.

Alabama beat Kentucky 63-3 on Saturday, the sixth-worst loss in Kentucky history.

Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith broke the SEC record with his 33rd career receiving touchdown, finishing with nine catches for 144 yards and two TDs.

Chip Kelly has lost as many times at Autzen Stadium with UCLA as he did as head coach at Oregon (2).

Kelly was 26-2 at home in four seasons as Oregon’s head coach. A 38-35 loss on Saturday moved him to 0-2 as UCLA’s coach, but it was an improvement from the 42-21 loss in 2018.

For Oregon, Tyler Shough now has the most rushing yards of any Ducks QB in his first three starts (197).

Some SEC stats:

UGA rushed for 8 yards on 23 carries (including sacks) vs. Miss State.

LSU had 41 minutes 43 seconds time of possession vs. Arkansas. Will Muschamp would be proud!

Tenn outgained Auburn 464 to 385 yards of total offense, and managed only 17 points.

Interesting stats all, but this one was truly eye opening. Ugly has a massive OL made up of 5*s and high 4*s with elite highly recruited guys running the ball. If Shart hadn’t wised up and replaced Bennett with Daniels, Ugly would have lost that game. One does have to wonder why Daniels didn’t play sooner.

It's always enjoyable watching ut implode, but watching both ut and fsu have epically disastrous seasons while we have a Heisman frontrunner with one of the best offenses in the country is pretty fantastic. Oh and let's not forget embarrassing uga with all their 4 and 5 stars. That's pretty great too.

Yeah, all of these are great. Many are hard to believe.
How can UGA have only 8 yards on 23 carries?!?!
LSU has 41:43 TOP and wins by only 3?
UTenn gains 464 yards to Auburn's 385, manages only 17 points and looses by 2 TDs?

Chip goes to the Left Coast and ... lol
