Seriously, at this point, between the NBA players, MLB players, NFL players, and college football players and coaches that have tested positive, has a single one even required more than a few days rest, if they even had any symptoms to recover from at all? Zero deaths, not even any hospitalizations. At what point do we recognize that this is not affecting the average person and stop this insanity? Want to force masks, distancing, etc in order to play, fine. But altering seasons and killing the nature of the sport(s) is out of control and insane. Literally no other way to put it. The dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.

At some point in the future, probably still a long time from now, the powers that be will be forced to admit that this was an exercise in testing the amount of control that the American populace will tolerate before they revolt

I personally am ashamed of the way most Americans have allowed known pathological liars to force them to surrender control of their own lives under the premise of public safety even though there has been no evidence to support the premise.

Our country will never be the same again because the sheep have allowed the liars to learn that they can say anything and do anything and we will comply.

Sad times we live in

Honestly, I don’t have a problem with anything that delays what has become the annual disappointment of gator basketball

Just think, 5 seasons ago we spent nearly 3 months as the number one team in the nation and made our eighth elite 8 appearance

Now we sneak into the tournament as an 11 seed and don’t bother to pack extra clothes so I can wait another week or so to start

Pitino recommended pushing the season to starting in Feb, just doing conference games, and having May madness. Wouldn't be a bad idea, but guess it's too late for that. I was looking forward to the new fast paced style:

In a move no one saw coming....Auburn gave themselves a post season ban

I'm glad you noted your views in this thread. I wasn't sure if you truly meant it in every other thread on the first page of the sports forum, but now I know you really do. The uncertainty was killing me.

Thi caught me completely off guard. It is from The Athletic. They did a 2021 Nba mock draft. Look who went 14th.

14. Keyontae Johnson | 6-5 wing | 21 years old, junior | Florida

NBA evaluators were surprised when Johnson decided not to enter the 2020 NBA Draft, as many thought he had a chance to turn into a late first-round pick after going through even the truncated process. Again, NBA teams are constantly on the lookout for wings who do two things: defend multiple positions and shoot. At 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, Johnson is a tank who can hit shots from distance, and then guard 1 through 4 at the collegiate level. By the end of SEC play last year, Johnson was one of the five best players in the conference and clearly earned All-SEC honors. Look for more of the same this year, and I’d expect he goes in round one in 2021.

He was just named preseason SEC Player of the Year.

this is the first time a Gator has been so nominated since . . . Last year (Blackshear). I don’t recall the last returning Gator to get that nod.

I wasn’t aware that I had shared my view of the Covid/sports issues in America today in previous posts so you must be clairvoyant or something.

More likely you are just some smart a$$ that doesn’t like it when people disagree with you or challenges traditional thinking

But now that you clearly understand my view of the Covid situation maybe you won’t need to respond in the future if I dare to actually comment in a sports forum again

At one point this is you:

upload_2020-11-24_15-36-47.jpeg

I don’t have the privilege of shoving my politics down your throat while I am at work. Do you?

tell this to the morons at BSPN. They seem to think that all 100+ D1 schools are swimming in money and exploiting the poor slaves/players in their program

Now that their operations are being gutted (mostly due to their politics on camera)

Where will I go to have bullish!t woke politics shoved down my throat in the middle of a sports column?

So, it is true. I was shocked, dare I say my 'traditional thinking" that you would avoid writing about your politics here was even challenged when I saw you make the following posts in a sports forum:

do you really think that the Heisman committee is going to give the trophy to a white player as long as Justin Fields is in the race?

Anything that features white people is racist. Everyone in the UF administration agrees

But, I was still confused despite your views of the forces that are keeping us whities down as to Heisman voting (despite a pretty large disparity of white winners compared to the total pool of D1 players), that I would not have guessed these would be your takes, in a sports forum no less, on the Rona:

I am not suggesting that this is no worse than the flu
I am suggesting that the drama queens on the news stations are playing this up purely for political purposes.
You can laugh if you like but there are a couple of networks that are approaching this as a second attempt at an impeachment and I refuse to participate in their madness

I will enjoy watching and thinking about how furious the Covid promoters will be

we all know that this was never about a virus.
Unfortunately the really dangerous virus that has endangered the country is TDS and it has had a stranglehold on half the country for 4 years now

So, while it would be a cool power at parties, I didn't need ESP or clairvoyance to respond to your post in this thread.

More likely you are just some smart a$$ that doesn’t like it when people disagree with you or challenges traditional thinking

Smart ass - I'm certain. As to your novel thoughts rocking me to my core, I care a great deal more about Grantham's ridiculous pass coverage schemes than I do any of the Rona disease theories of posters on here (whether its the QueenCity's we're all gonna die, the Carib conspiracy theories, or Zambo pointing out both sides have ridiculous positions). We both know your political leanings are not exactly challenging at all, no less challenging to your perceived view of my "traditional thinking".

But now that you clearly understand my view of the Covid situation maybe you won’t need to respond in the future if I dare to actually comment in a sports forum again

Understood, you wouldn't want to "shove your politics" on anyone when writing about sports.

The psychiatric state I went into at my hypnotist's office was very disturbing to him = I had an "out-of-money" experience.
