That should be the end for Ohio State in the playoff. You shouldn't even be eligible unless you play at least 8 games, meaning perfect attendance for the conferences that initially cancelled the season entirely. I want to see them fall out of the Top 25 just for missing the game.

They'll put OSU in the playoff if they don't play another game...

Tough titties. They should suit up and play with what they've got. All teams should. If you don't then you don't benefit. Why should they get in the playoffs if they haven't played enough games? They haven't had to take the same wear and tear and haven't had the same number of chances to be defeated. The Big Ten and Pac 12 made their beds so they need to sleep in 'em.

The big 10 self sabotaged their season on purpose when public pressure and logic made it obvious that it was totally feasible to play college football this year. They scheduled 8 straight weeks of football with no make up dates allowed and extremely restrictive rules for contact tracing and thresholds that would cancel games. The academic dip Sh!ts never wanted to play and built in gigantic self destruct buttons all over the boat knowing inevitably something would bump into and sink the whole damn ship. Feilds and any other nfl type guys from Ohio state should sue the little 10(cm) for fraud

tOSU probably chickened out. Their coach has COVID and they thought mighty Illinois would beat the crap outta them, so they took a page out of the FSU playbook and they bailed. It should be a forfeit.

My understanding is that it might exclude them from the big 10 championship game. That should mean no playoff and no Heisman either.

I hope even if Bama beats us Trask wins because he has less of a team around him on defense.

What is this defense you speak of?

This pretty much locks up the Heisman for the SEC champ game winner.

I keep seeing this, but don't necessarily agree. Say Alabama wins 35-28 and Najee Harris runs for 3 TDs and Mac Jones throws for 2 and is picked off once. Meanwhile, Trask goes 25-35 for 360, 4 TDs, 0 INTs. What happens?

Easy. Bama goes to the playoffs and we go to the Outback Bowl.

I can’t wait to hear the ridiculous explanation for allowing OSU to participate in the playoffs and how his perseverance through these hardships justifies Fields winning the Heisman.

You’ve heard the story before just with slightly different subjects

Sadly, this is a very real possibility.

Trask will get screwed out of the Heisman. The SEC championship is gonna be a shootout, while bama's defense is somewhat better than ours I believe our offense is more explosive than theirs. I don't see either team slowing the other one down much. No doubt Trask is by far the better player of the 2, I just don't see the ass hole voters giving it to the loser of the game, especially after our defense makes Jones look all world.

Announcers on another game this afternoon confirmed tOSU cannot miss another game or they are ineligible for B10 championship. There are no such restrictions on CFP, but it would be very hard to justify tOSU being in when they didn't even make their own conference championship.

On Heisman, I don't get Mac Jones. Is he a product of the system, because I never heard of him before this season. Also, as pointed out, he was meh today while the RB dominated = stealing spotlight from the team QB. I don't see where Mac Jones should be in the conversation unless we are just looking at the QB on a top team, not necessarily a top QB. Fields will be out due to a lack of games. I see the real competition for Trask being with T. Lawrence as he dominates weaker teams and his missed games were not his fault (one COVID test, one wimp out by F$U). I also see Ian Book getting an invite because ND beat CLEM and e'erbody lurves ND :\
