Sometimes it seems like our Coaches just want to show that they are smarter than everyone else.
After watching him come in and create a nice condo out of a dumpster fire and reading this forum for along time I think it is pretty obvious who is smarter.............which is why the big check goes to him and we/us/you sit behind our safe little screens splaining all the problems and solutions..............

Combined with Cousin Eddie and Joe Lee Dunn there is nothing particularly amusing about it so I bet he’s going for cute. Reminds me of that reporter who insisted on calling Jim Everett....Chris Everett. Wasn’t as cute in person for the reporter.

That was a Jim Rome staged publicity stunt

Coach...how many players were out for KY?

This was KY.

And game 8...you of all people should demand more.

Players looked lost and out of position...Game 8...Really?

You could coach better and for far less than $2 mil

Did anyone notice how ESPN basically lied throughout the game about how many players were missing for Kentucky?

Kentucky was down 16 players in total with 8 being out with injuries. By the time the Disney liars got ahold of it the total changed to 18 and ALL of them were out due to the virus.

You may think this isn’t a big deal but it’s a microcosm of a bigger concern. If you will lie about little things you won’t hesitate to lie about big things

So did anyone figure out what Grantham was saying during the argument?
Mullen had a mask on so no clues on his comments but I was hoping that someone can read lips so we know what Todd said.

He was saying, "Boss relax...This is all part of the plan. We got them just where we want them. And if we get to Atlanta do I still get a bonus?"

Chris Deoring said that he read Grantham's lips saying "It won't work." Main take away might be that Grantham wasn't listening to his boss. Also, the defense was lights out in the second half. Was that only because Vandy had to abandon its game plan? Or did we make adjustments? If so, were they Mullen's ideas or Grantham's?

Also wanted to mention the great INT by Freshman Trey Johnson. Wasn't he a lower ranked DB(ATH) compared to the other DBs? That was excellent coverage, getting his head around to see the ball. Nice to see him showing early signs of progress.

CDM called him the "sleeper" of the class.

Did I hear correctly that he was a HS teammate of Gatewood, whom he intercepted and also was a Gator recruiting target at one point?

I don't recall hearing that, which means my wife was probably talking to me... during the game... Honestly, it's like she doesn't even KNOW me.

First you mean Kentucky, and second Kentucky had to go away from their offensive set up because of our offensive. Kentucky needs to control the clock and run the ball. They had to go away from that.

Good stuff as usual Cover. I hear the Gainesville Sun is looking for a good beat reporter.
Teams dropping eight will be the norm until Fl. starts running the ball. If you can stop the run with three why rush more.
If Trask and his receivers have trouble with the weather in Knoxville we may see more of E.J. at QB

I did mean Kentucky, not Vandy. However, the detailed defensive breakdown on GatorNation shows that we changed our defensive schemes enormously in the second half.
