I hear Foley is available
He was under Foley for several decades if I’m not mistaken. He’s done a damn good job for them to be honest. Hope they hire someone like Dooley again to replace him.

This is a huge loss for UGA - under McGarity, UGA spent a buttload of money on football recruiting and facilities. It pleases me that they don't have much to show for it.

College football recruiting: Georgia leads pack in soaring costs

Georgia approves new $80 million facility for football

And he increased the support for the football program while also building up all the other sports programs. UGA is better in nearly every sport today than they were in 2010

He duplicated the Foley approach for building all the nonrev programs but unlike his mentor he continued to invest in the football program
I am glad he is retiring

You mean other than owning our asses?
You say that like we haven’t lost to Tennessee, Kentucky, FSU(several times), tAMu(twice), and Mizzou(several times), over the last few years.

“Owning” us wasn’t some huge accomplishment.

Despite us being really awful for most of McGarity’s tenure, Georgia is only 6-5 against us with him at the helm. I’d rather it be 0-11, sure, but with the amount of resources Georgia has poured into football, it could be a lot worse.

Says the guy who doesn't consider any year a success without hardware. You're now saying a win over a hated rival is a measure of success? Please confirm the standard so we can all follow along.
That was my first thought. Hardware..........

Oh please. Under his regime, they managed 3 wins against Muschamp, one against a lame duck staff, and two against Mullen's first teams. Should we also prepare "Congrats" cards for the AD's of Mizzou and Usce for their roughly .500 records with us in that span?

Bottom line, he'll leave with a losing record to Jim McElwain, a stoned Meyer, and with one SEC crown that was basically negated a month later. Other than being a big spender, and watching it all get wasted while dropping games to vanderbilt and a 4-8 Usce team, he'll go down as the quintessential uga loser that he is.

I expect more from you, especially after a week or so off. Regroup and get it together.
