I’m beginning to think this is less about China Flu and more about the players refusing to play.
Yes, their season is over. There are no more games on their schedule and there isn't a chance in hell at this point they re-schedule anyone.

There's certainly something wacky going on. I have an inside FSU source but he's so pissed right now I can't bring it up.

If he's a typical, obnoxious semi fan, sounds like THE PERFECT TIME to bring it up.

You know what really amuses me is that Willie Taggart is 5-1 at FAU. I really thought they couldn't do worse than him but it turns out they can.

I know a young man attending f$u. I asked him closer to the beginning of the season how the football team might do. His somewhat sheepish response: "We're no longer a football school. We're now a basketball school."

I felt bad for him.

And they have Mike White to thank for being a basketball school

He's not a friend of mine, but a work client. I can't really harass him. But I can tell you he will know EXACTLY what is going on inside FSU athletics.

I would love to hear from him how FSU is positioning this to try and make it positive in some way.
I honestly can’t fathom a logical explanation but I trust that the semenoles can

Between Jimbo, Taggart, and now CoVid...I can't see this program returning for 15 years.

Look how long it took us. One we are not there yet and two, even Butters was not Taggart.

I think this really helps UCF and us but more for them.

Because they have some built in recruiting advantages and play in an overall weaker conference, they could come back more quickly. The two biggest hurdles I see on their horizon are: 1) Their financial situation, especially if they end up having to buy out Norvell, and 2) Clemson. (Hell, the way scUM and UNC are recruiting right now, they could be long term problems too.)

What's funny is ESPN website has the Clemson and Virginia game listed as Postponed but the Duke game is gone completely. I guess they just canceled the game this weekend all together.

The Noles situation is so much worse than the other schools that this board needs to do one of two things:
1) reserve the word "shambles" only for fsu;
Or,
2) use another term for fsu, i.e., "catastrophic decline", or whatever.

Please explain.
They have lower academic standards for athletes than UF, Florida A&M is nearby (hopefully I don't have to explain the value in this), and they were more recently title contenders than either UF or scUM, which could resonate with 16-18 year olds, i.e. those kids can remember them being relevant.

One term a friend I coined for such occasions is a 'spectastrophe', as in a 'spectacular catastrophe'. I give it freely if needed.
