Screw OSU and the big 10. They were content to just sit this season out anyway until the SEC decided they were going to man up and play ball. Then, looking like the total panty-wastes that they are after other conferences somehow magically figure out how healthy young athletes can somehow survive a football season in the age of covid, they sheepishly decide hey we wanna play too! And their lack of commitment to playing football shows on the field with the garbage product they've been putting out there for the last month or so. I'd rather see the SEC champ face off against the ACC champ and just call it good while those losers drown in their fvking tears.

Ok, so we'll put you down as an "undecided" for now.

I think POSU and Cincy play each other in a bowl.

I think the 4 will be:

Notre Dame/Miami
Clemson
UF/A&M
Bama
I honestly think that unless climpson wipes the floor with nd, the nd bias will kick into high gear for a one-loss nd to sneak in. While I really don't like nd, I loathe miamuh, so I can live with that.

And I lost track, did the b12 remove themselves from contention? Are the sooners out of it?

I guess Jim figured out a way out of another OSU beat down. Lol

Seems like Jim must have called Norvell and had a little chat about ducking big losses.

Part of the Big 10 rules say that they can’t play any games out of conference. Maybe they could make an exception, but I still don’t see why a team that played 6 games should be allowed in a playoff with teams who all played at least 10 or 11. Iowa State has a better case for the playoffs than Ohio State if they beat Oklahoma again, and they lost to Louisiana.

If they get in on that resume then it completely kills any argument that the committee is looking at who they feel are the best 4 teams at that moment, and that it’s not a last year(and beyond)consideration. They had OhSt in from day one. If only six games against garbage, and a signature win over Indiana is enough, then it’s hard to argue that if they’d sat out the whole season entirely they wouldn’t be in.

There is no one loss Big 12 team, and the Pac-12 hasn't played enough games... but both USC and Colorado are currently undefeated and Washington has 1 loss.

Joel Katts (spelling) really had a good argument while the BCS was poor for only bring it down to one game, the way they handled their standings was far more fair than the current system. The current system is 13 votes from people who mostly work for the P5 conferences with their own agendas. The BCS had over 80 points of input that would level the curve on one stray outlier. The BCS formula was much better at ranking the top teams, than the current system.

Couldn’t agree more. I never understood why the BCS and playoff had to be a one or the other. The formula absolutely got it right way more often than not. There were just sometimes other qualified teams that were left out. They should’ve just expanded the BCS system and make the playoff from the top 4 to prevent that. Problem solved.

Political operative Warren, I mean Commissioner Warren, just washed the last batch of egg off his face so I am sure he will find a way to ensure that POSU gets in the playoffs

He already has a lot of explaining to do but botching the chance for the Big Ten to make the playoffs might be more than he can survive.

I am enjoying the anxiety over there

So let me get this straight.
  • Big 10 canceled the season and doesn't want to play
  • All of a sudden, they want to play and set ground rules for the season, 2 of which include minimum games played and no out of conference
  • They then give Ohio State the easiest schedule they have ever had, no Wisconsin or Iowa or really any team they felt pre-season could challenge them
  • Michigan gives them the finger and sticks it to them so they don't meet the rules set by all AD's and the conference
  • Now, OSU wants to play the "whoa is us card" and have the system bent more into their favor?
Yea, they can go **** themselves!

If they end up in the playoffs having only played five games against mostly poor competition, a truly just God would ensure that whoever they played would stomp a mudhole in them in the most humiliating way imaginable.
