That's a team out of Sav, we played them 4 times this year. Beat their ass 3 out of the 4. The kid he's hitting in the video is by far the best kid on their team and also his child. Every time we played them they wouldn't have but a few fans there so I wouldn't be surprised if no one but the other coaches and the cameras saw it live. Doubt they had very many fans travel all the way to Kissimmee. Hell by the end of the season they were having to play their home games at our field 2 hours away because no one would let them use their facilities. Had a fcking shooting in the parking lot at one place.

We were there this week as well, we were the 1 seed and his team was the 2 seed out of South GA. Both of our teams got our asses handed to us . The video happened Monday and was released Tue night I believe. Wed by noon they had suspended that team for 2 years and the piece of shyt punching the kid can never coach again. Not sure if anything else will happen being it was his child he was hitting? The 2 coaches watching him do it need their asses kicked as well.

I saw that on FB but couldn’t get it to share. Made me think of @cover2 and probably his coaching style.
I was pretty intense back in the old days, but I never laid a hand on the players. That was and is out of bounds. Guys like the one in the video do more harm than good. You want kids to learn to play to win and mistakes and corrections are part of the game, but striking them is not the way to accomplish that. Sad example for the kids.

Glad to hear something was done. Now it almost makes me more concerned with the kid being his son---can you imagine what goes on in their home when no one is watching. My heart goes out to that kid in a big way. Hopefully someone from Family Services(or whatever it's called) will take a hard look at their situation.

Had that been my grandson he hit I would have literally tried to kill him. I can't even imagine the animal that I would turn into.

That behavior is wayyyy over the line.

My college HC was very cerebral and laid back. He is actually in the college HOF.

My HS coach used to drag us around by our facemasks, deliver the occasional forearm shiver to the chest to really drive a point home. There were so many punishment drills... But the worst was the "natural stickum". We actually threw the ball a lot and I played TE on offense. If a receiver dropped a pass that should have been caught, you'd hear your name called out in a shrill but booming shriek. You'd run over to him. He'd grab your hands, hold them open, palms up and proceed to empty his lungs and nasal passages all over them. He'd rub them together and scream, "Don't let me catch you wiping that off!". For really egregious drops in practice, he'd let the QB and others on offense join in. It was foul-smelling, but fortunately, I only got it once and just from him.

Ah, the good old days....

That's still quite a bit different than striking a player in the face. That was a no-no even in the leather-helmet days.

Absolutely no argument. As I said, that dude in the video was wayyyy over the line.
