The fact that Mike White continued to play makes me despise him even more!

Bingo. That decision is 100% on White, period. You don't talk it over with the team, you walk over to Leonard Hamilton and tell him no contest/forfeit. If Hamilton doesn't like it, he can go **** himself.

Of course, to make a decision like that, you have to be a leader, which White never has been.

What a stupid post. Covid doesn't give you heart problems

I realize Covid news gets full hoax treatment from some here, but it has been shown to caused large blood clotting issues in some who get it. Granted it is more often with far older people than Keyontae and it would not make much sense to be this many months after he had the Rona, but it absolutely does cause secondary heart problems.

Our season is basically over without KJ who is the leader and heart and soul of this team. KJ was also trending up to NBA lottery status so you can't take a player of his caliber out of the mix and expect this team to even be a .500 ball club. Get well soon KJ!!

Really?

Because that's not what I read. Per an article on KJ's collapse:

"Like most of his teammates, Johnson tested positive for COVID-19 during the summer. Although the cause of Johnson's ailment was not immediately known, the coronavirus can lead to myocarditis, a viral infection of the heart muscle."

I love how everyone on a message board is a goddamned expert.

Anyone remember Hank Gathers?

Man, when I saw KJ's collapse, I won't lie. I shed a tear. Really hoping the dude's going to be okay.

Sadly I am too familiar with the Hank Gathers tragedy. The first time he survived and was cleared to return, only to lose his life. I happened to be in the car and had no idea we played today so I was listening to the game. Then that happened and the first thing I thought of was Hank Gathers. I continued to listen to the game and had not a care in the world about the game itself. I just was hoping to get news regarding KJ. At this point the game, games, the season, Mike, the team, KJ's playing future are all IRRELEVANT.. A young man's life/health is all that matters.

No need to bicker and argue and speculate, a fellow Gator is in bad shape and we need to unite behind him. Get well, Keyontae!

Is KJ conscious? Does he know Coach White is there? Is his family there by now? Please get them all out of Tallahassee and into Shands.

THIS. ^

I cannot stand Mike White. I think he's been a terrible coach for us and we lack toughness because of it. Thus, we have now become FSU's b!itches in men's b-ball and it possibly bothers me more than anyone else on this message board.

But having said that, all I can think about is KJ's health and we'll being. I cannot get the image of him falling so suddenly and I tear up every time it passes through my mind. Please be well, Gator.

I saw a tweet that stated UF was flying his family to Tallahassee

To which Dak Prescott (of all people) tweeted “In my experience that would be to say goodbye”.
I don’t know what the truth is but I feel sick. I hope this kid recovers.

The person who posted that tweet got ripped for it, but he was just speaking from experience. I've had the same experience. It is bad to me. But, it could just be that the family wanted to be with him and the university paid for it. I don't know. Trying to think positively.

If that’s true, and I really doubt it, it’s in a minuscule number of cases. So minuscule the odds are better for getting hit by lightning.
