Love C4, played against him in hs football...but he's dead-ass wrong here.

Wilson has played half-assed football the ENTIRE season. He's repeatedly been out-fought, out-hustled, and out-played by guys with half his talent. He cost us the A&M game by allowing a garbage WR to jump over him and out-fight him for the football even when Wilson had inside postion on the ball. Make that INT and we win comfortably (they were down 10 at that point).

I lost count of how many times this season he's been burned by guys from Vandy...FUQING VANDERBILT 3 STAR WRs ARE SMOKING HIS ASS. And Kentucky. And Tennessee. And now LSU freshman.

And the ONE time he makes a tackle in the last 5 games, he goes and does something like this.

Fuq forgiveness, this clown needs to have the everlasting shiit kicked out of him by every person in Gainesville, his scholarship revoked, and fed to the alligators in Lake Alice. I'd spare his life IF (and only if) Grantham is the one being fed to the gators instead.

To play devil's advocate... The shoe came off in his hands rather naturally during the action of the tackle. In the heat of the moment (you just made a big tackle, and then you look down and you're holding... A SHOE?) - what do you do? Considerately locate the owner and hand it to them?

I mean, ideally (and if he had ANY awareness at all, you just drop it). But throwing it back over towards the opponent's sideline isn't the most outrageous thing I can imagine doing when you're excited and celebrating with all that adrenaline going.

It's not like he threw it to injure someone, or ripped it off on purpose, or picked it up just to throw. I feel a bit bad for him b/c this was a TEAM loss (which he definitely contributed to) - but literally, EVERY aspect and unit of the team played a losing effort. The TEAM deserved to lose for how they ALL played.

You might have a decent argument if Marci threw it even remotely towards the sideline. He threw it directly downfield.

He was awful tonight. That may help explain why he lost his cool. Frustration with himself.
Why in God's green Earth would anyone be frustrated with themselves after they got a critical stop on defense?

Yeah let's build him up. ..So he'll go out and be a piece of shcit in the real world too. The kid deserves every bit of heat he gets .

Wait till one of those Bama receivers gets ahold of his ass next week. He’s gonna need therapy after that game.

What happened tonight might be the most selfish, brain dead moment to contribute to costing a team a game I have ever seen....no running game and turnovers didn't help but if he doesn't do this, worst case we are looking at OT....

Could be worse though....we could be Tennessee who had 3 guys stand on the goal line so the female Vandy kicker wouldn't get the PAT blocked....because ya know, equality...

Back to the game, this is one of the most infuriating, sad losses in quite some time...no business losing this game...we are a great passing team with no running game and an average defense....therefore Bama will roll us

This is what I said in the Vandy game thread. It still applies

Elam, Maro, Kimbro and all our DBs need to shut up and learn how to play defense.

...then when they learn how to play, keep shutting up and playing.

:spank:

Starting with Mullen and continuing with every assistant coach they need to shut down all personal celebrations from the defense. This should be done with ardor and consistency. Slaton army crawling after a tackle (perhaps on that same drive), Elam posing toward the UF bench (perhaps on the same drive), and every other stupid, tone-deaf, attention-seeking celebration should be shut down. One thing that I still appreciate about Muschamp was his leading the players to celebrate together - as a team.

These foolish DB's, having the worst season in recent memory by a DB group, are nonetheless in the habit of flexing every time something goes their way. Seemingly unaware that they are making up ground, unaware that the defensive line or linebackers might have affected the QB to actually cause the stop, unaware that as often as not, the other team's failure to connect has done as much to contribute to their success as their active plays.

While we're at it, can one of them be smart enough not to spin around and look for a flag and smart enough to not hold up their hands in the obvious "I didn't do anything wrong" pose every time they suspect a penalty might be called? Can one of our coaches teach someone to do this? Is there no leadership?!?

Jocko Willink calls it "normal face."

Shut it down Dan. It's best for each player. It's best for the team. It's best for you. Shut it down.
