Haven't read the whole thread but.....

I was talking with my dad and he mentioned that Mullen has added that loss to the list of things SOS never did (some of which are positive.)

I get the record comparisons. I understand the offensive genius similarities, but honestly, Mullen is no comparison

Spurrier NEVER lost to an unranked opponent AT HOME. In his whole Gator career, Spurrier only lost TWICE to unranked teams both on the road

Can these comparisons (like the whole DBU crap) simply stop?

I've said before, I hate all of these comparison because every coach has to stand on their own and often have different circumstances. I'll never forget people saying no one had ever beaten Aub, ut and uga in their first year until Zook. Or "Steve never beat fsu in Doak". None of it matters. We have to hope that Mullen has the ability and drive to get himself into that conversation, which he hasn't done yet. Some have already decided that he'll never be, and that's fine. Some are still hoping he can find a way. Games like Saturday, admittedly, do nothing to bolster that argument.

Im just glad w didnt play South Alabama this year.
