I’ve had it with Dan. The pinheads on staff as dreadful as they are aren’t solely to blame here. Many spoke of Wilson staying in the game after the most idiotic penalty ever and how it speaks to our leadership and lack of discipline. Nothing more really needs to be said there . To think we will have better seasons than this one under these coaches isn’t a pipe dream anymore . You would have to be a crackhead to believe it .
The whole point of being a crackhead is the pipedream isn't it? But I agree with everything you said.

Great write up! Our issues show our lack of depth & development. Just played "ok" and championship caliber teams don't do that. We have been playing down to the level of competition. Tough loss but we have to try an refocus because Bama will have no remorse. That is what championship calibers teams do.

Marco is a "shoe in" for all time dumb a$$ of the University of Florida!

Hey Gators, I just wanted to say that I am sorry for the way y'all lost against the Corndogs. That shoe thing was idiotic and should have never happened. I mean, y'all had them beat. Plus, I was hoping that Bama could dash your hopes for the CFP...

@Zambo lack of discipline and accountability about sums it up. Players will do as they’re coached and what they are allowed to do. That Mullen is somewhat surprised / unconcerned / defensive reveals more about what is likely the bigger issues with our team than certain situational play calls or game management decisions, of which there seem to be several each game. If Dan’s not big enough to wear the schit suit he just tailored, then he’ll likely never be big enough to win the SEC, much less a NC. He’s in a grown man business, not in the same vain as that woodpecker Gundy, and it’s past time for him to be grown. “Crowd noise” and “maybe shoulda played less games” whine is garbage. What he’s revealed about himself is not championship caliber.

Since I could only give this one like, and it's worthy of more, I quote this truth and personally like it twice.

Very well said.

He's also revealed that he values personal relationships and friendships developed through his employment over winning football games. Excuses, no matter how lame they appear, are euphemisms for "don't expect me to criticize my friends in public, my loyalty to them is my highest priority, and by the way, piss off."

That’s why a lot of coaches are such hard asses. Too close a relationship with your players can definitely compromise your ability to properly and adequately discipline them when necessary. Kinda like parenting. It’s alright to be friendly with your kids, but you can’t be their friends. Officers shouldn’t fraternize with the enlisted men, so to speak. I don’t question that Dan probably has a good heart, but he should leave the cookie baking to his wife.

I still want to know why TF Pitts wasn't playing. Have they said what the reason was?

In the post game presser, Mullen said Pitts didn't practice all week because he was hurt and when game time came Saturday, they made the decision not to play him because of this. Mullen didn't specifically say what the "injury" was; like most of his press conference, it was buffoonery, half sentences and coded comments the CIA would appreciate. I guess the implication was lingering effects from the hit a month ago, I dunno.

The implication was "we can sleep walk thru LSU".

Just learned that CDM excused and defended Marco on Sunday. IMO, this grounds for CDM's dismissal. The young man should NOT be publicly criticized by CDM and certainly NOT held up for ridiculed, but he most assuredly should be disciplined. Excusing him incentivizes bad and losing behavior. It equates to McIlwain's "death threats". It is a major problem that Mullins' is now too old to correct.

AR has gone militant. Once you lose him, it's tough to get things back. It's my understanding he was the tipping point in the decision to can Tom Lieb after that butchered 1945 season.

Edit: I write the above in the full knowledge that the Gators will play well against Bama and might even win. Doesn't matter. I realize that allowances must be made for this generation. Can't go as far as CDM went.

While Im sure AR was there, I seriously doubt he or anyone else remembers it. Hell, he doesn't reemmber what he had for breakfast or when that lady who visits most days changed his depends.
