Well if we are only talking about gators vs bamma. I’d much rather get blown out to confirm that we didn’t belong anyway. Make changes to the staff (I’m looking at you grantham) and try again next year

My year is over...I am both a UF and and LSU alumnus.
I live is South Louisiana and everyone here knows I'm a Gator and it's already bad and I have 12 more months of this fecal matter.
And I kinda liked Coach "O" ...Local Boy get's a shot and does good...But then he turns total equine rectum...Complete Slime...Even my LSU friends can't stand him even with this win.
All I want for Christmas is from Papa Noel is for 2021 to get here.

I'm truly not trolling with this post so please don't take it that way but... UF just lost to a pitiful LSU team because one idiot decided to throw a shoe. That loss cost UF any and all chance at making the CFP even if they were to beat Bama. Please explain how either a 1 or 2 point loss, or even a blow-out loss to Bama would be more embarrassing than that?

The shoe toss was undisciplined and uncalled for BUT:
UF lost because Todd Grantham's D can't stop Buholtz HS
UF lost because we can't get our OL to block a pitiful LSU team who only dressed out 54 players
UF lost because they could not score from the 2 yrd line because they tried to force our smallest RB off tackle...Who can't get a push ALL SEASON.
UF lost because even after 9 SEC games..."9"...Defenders STILL don't know where to line up
UF lost because our D makes a TRUE FRESHMAN QB look like a Heisman Candidate AND our HC doesn't think it's significant that the kid's only played in like 3 games?

Certainly all of those points played a huge part. However, the game was tied at the point of the shoe toss with time running out on the game clock. OT favors the Gators at home 99 times out of 100. Especially so against a bad LSU team. The shoe toss extended the game-winning drive and that cost UF the game. Most of the time I would argue all day long that one play doesn't make or break a game. Understood...It was lame. He'd either run bleachers until he puked or never play again on my team.
BUT at that point it never should have mattered.
We should be undefeated. If Grantham just had a D that could line up and stay in their lanes we would be 10-0.
Grantham has a stupid, overly complex system, with way too many substitutions... that needs to be simplified. And the Corner Blitz? When they know it's coming?...Toss and Catch...6 the easy way. (Game after Game) Do you think the opposing team studies film?

It wasn't going into OT because we were going to have plenty of time to drive down and get an easy FG to win the game.
In any event I predict that I will be blissfully unaware of the beatdown as I will be hauling ass down dirt roads in Baja far away from TVs and internets.
The worst case scenario for the playoff committee is a UF upset of Bama. How do you let the loser of the SECCG into the playoff but not the winner? Three cheers for chaos!
