I have hope he is gone due to a few of Mullinz post game pressers. He and Choker were clearly not on the same page. I think those differences have grown as the season goes on. Hopefully the butt whippin the Sabans give us even further opens his eyes.

If Strick cans him, it also signals Mullen is a failure as a manager as he can’t handle his own shop. Another fat sombitch about to get a couch check. Hopefully....

I think he’s toast, but it might not happen til after bowl season. After the spotlight being on Mullen lighting his ass up on the sideline, I can’t see a path to him staying, especially after LSU and the imminent beating that Saban/Sark will deal him. Mullen’s deflection game is going to be a short one as it relates to Grantham.

Plenty of CMU's out there.

That's the problem. Unless Grantham is so desperate to be a head coach, a CMU type job won't cut it. CMU pays about $700k-$800k, UF pays him $1.8 million. Not many G5 jobs pay more than $1.8 million. It was a ridiculous contract to give to a DC that hadn't earned that kind of salary. It was a "well, we're UF, so we should pay him what the other big-boys are paying". He made $650k at Miss State in 2017. It makes no sense that we paid him that kind of money.

QB's like Trask matched with great receivers like we've got don't come around very often and neither do shots at national championships. This defense has blown our opportunity to compete for one this year. If we had even a decent defense we would be contenders. Mullen has to realize that Grantham and his own lack of recruiting a quality defense has blown the only shot he'll have of winning it all at Florida. I think he's going to take his realization of that out on Grantham. He gone.

I am saying...Mullen is too stubborn to fire Grantham

I was told Mullen was like this by someone who's son went to Football Camps at MSU...He stopped supporting MSU after he met Mullen.

I thought Mullen had changed...After the last pressor...Mullen is either clueless or just arrogant
I really liked Mullen, but I would be lying if my personal view hasn't changed after the last three games. He no longer recites the "Gator Standard", and he obviously doesn't endorse it by leaving Marco in. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that Mullen is what a lot of you fine folks have been saying from the beginning....He will be marginally better than mediocre, but a championship coach he isn't.

He's history, even for a guy as adverse to coaching turnover as Mullen. His defense has been clueless this year. No leadership, letting guys running downfield with no one covering, lack of discipline, etc. The Wilson disaster is the exclamation point!

Maybe we would get lucky and he takes a lateral move to the Barn?

It's absolutely nuts the raise we gave him. I've said this before. We'd rather over pay some loser and look like we're trying as hard as the big boys than to actually be trying to be one the big boys.

Back in year 1 with these guys I thought ol' Todd would come around and eventually put a good Defense on the field. This year has really opened my eyes - these guys don't even know how to line up, what their responsibilities are, just every damn thing. It's stunning to watch, these veteran 4-star players 3 years in the program have no fcking idea what they're doing on the field. Hell, they should know it by osmosis if nothing else. But they don't, it's like watching the first day of pee-wee league practice. TV announcers at a loss for words. This is what Todd Grantham has done to a pretty good D that he inherited 3 years ago. It's clear by now that the embarrassments will continue as long as he's stinkin' up the sidelines. Mullen's got his own boatload of self-inflicted issues he can't carry that fatass any longer.

I think he's gone, but it's coming from Strickland, not Mullen.

It'll have to come from the boosters, UAA is full of pussies.

BTW, Muschamp would be a decent DC pick, since Mullins will go back to running the ball 80% of the time.

Every freaking game....the damn late substitutions are hell of embarrassing. I can't remember who it was last Saturday night....maybe Campbell, but he was HEATED about going in late. Coach Turner was actually trying to calm him down afterwards on the sideline....that tells me that another player didn't know his responsibility, or it most definitely was a coaching f-up.

Mullen should take the advice from Spurrier and replace Grantham. SOS did it a few times too.
